Mission Statement Our Mission is to provide an extensive and varied recreational program, enhancing personal enrichment, and providing for the community’s leisure needs. The activities and services shall include, but not be limited to: recreational and enrichment activities for all ages, youth and adult sports programs (non competivitive and competitive), and activities for special populations. Resident/Non-Resident To receive the resident rate you must reside within the cities of Rochester or Rochester Hills. RARA is funded through a millage collected in the city of Rochester Hills and a comparable fee in the city of Rochester. Residency is not connected with the Rochester School District. Residency is determined by where you pay your city taxes. The current non-resident fee is $20 per program for children and $28 per program for adults. NonResident fees are not charged for Special Events and Team registrations. Notice to Participants Participants must recognize that all classes/ activities of a physical nature involve some risk, and by registering for a class/activity of this nature there is an assumption of risk by the participants. RARA is dedicated to providing safe equipment as well as qualified staff for all participants. In the event of a serious accident or illness, it is the policy of RARA to: 1. Contact emergency medical services to perform first aid, and when necessary, recommend transport of the victim to the hospital. 2. Reach the parent/guardian/emergency contact as soon as the situation allows. Cancellation of Activities RARA activities at community schools are cancelled when school activities are cancelled. Activities at 480E & 500E 2nd St along with other offsite locations will continue as scheduled unless otherwise posted. In addition, cancellation of programs will be determined by program supervisors as seen fit. Cancellations will be posted at: www.rararecreation.org, Facebook/Instagram/Twitter:@RARArecreation, and for some programs registered participants will be notified via email.

RARA 7TH ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT Come out for RARA's 7th Annual Easter Egg Hunt! The Easter Bunny will be joining us for this wonderful family gathering! Your child can have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, so don't forget to bring your camera! This event will be held at Rochester Municipal Park by the Kiwanis Shelter (green shelter) near the Rochester Police Department. Park in the City Hall parking lot. Please dress for the weather because the entire event is held outdoors. Please arrive early as the hunt will begin SHARPLY. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification Class Be prepared when seconds count! You might save a life, but only if you know how. Learn how to respond effectively to adult, child and infant cardiac and choking emergencies, sudden illness, bleeding and other lifethreatening conditions from the American Red Cross programs that set the national standard. You will also learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and your vital role in the chain of survival. Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification card will be issued upon successful completion of course requirements (valid for two years). Don’t sit home bored during Spring Break! Come have fun at RARA! Campers will spend the week at RARA playing games, using the turf fieldhouse, basketball courts and fitness area, making crafts, hanging with friends, and more! Field trips are to be determined, but could include the zoo, bowling, and more! Spots for camp are limited. Participants must be in at least first grade. Participants need to bring a sack lunch every day. A detailed schedule will be emailed the week before camp starts.

Magic Soccer Academy For Ages 3 - 6 Years Old:
This class will teach the basics of soccer through fun and entertaining instruction. Players will learn the rules and basic techniques of soccer and use their skills in small sided games. Bring shin guards, tennis or soccer shoes and a water bottle. This program is 6 sessions long. Parents are required to stay on site if your child is under 5 years old.
For Ages 7-12 Years Old:
Join RARA and Pato today and watch as your child learns the proper techniques of dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and game tactics in a fun and exciting atmosphere. Players will train then use their skills in small sided games. Please bring shin guards, water bottle & soccer ball. This program is 6 sessions long.

SELF DEFENSE FOR CHILDREN The safety of our children will depend on their ability to recognize a threat and respond effectively. This fun, interactive and age appropriate workshop teaches essential, lifesaving information about the threats facing our children, strategies for prevention and real-world techniques designed to reduce their risk of abductions, assaults and other forms of violence. This class is taught by Live Safe Academy.

The safety of our children will depend on their ability to recognize a threat and respond effectively. This fun, interactive and age appropriate live virtual class teaches essential, lifesaving information about the threats facing our children, strategies for prevention and real-world self-defense techniques that can be learned from home. But most of all, these programs teach students that they have the right to be safe, that no one has the right to hurt them and that their life is worth protecting. And we have added a new kid friendly section on COVID19 and other communicable illnesses.

Use of amenities is based on availability; fieldhouse, group x, party room, gymnasiums, and inline rink are regularly scheduled and may not be available during most hours hours. **At this time all of our staff, members, and program participants are required to wear a face covering and submit a temperature check upon entry to Four80 Fitness or the RARA Administration Building.
