Career & College Ready Pathway

The Career and College Ready Pathway* is a new Career and College Promise (CCP) Program option designed to help high school juniors and seniors successfully transition to college or directly into the workforce.

This pathway expands access to the CCP Program by offering supportive, supplementary coursework for students with a GPA below 2.8 — creating a clear, achievable bridge to future academic and career success.

What the CCR Pathway Offers

The Career and College Ready Pathway isn’t just about Access — it’s about readiness, opportunity, and Success.

• Expanded Access to the CCP Program: Open to eligible high school juniors and seniors who may not yet meet traditional GPA requirements.

• High School Credit: Students earn high school credit upon successful completion of CCR Pathway courses.

• Gateway to College Credit: Successful completion of English and Math courses in the pathway provides access to gateway courses, allowing students to begin earning college transfer credit.

Career-Focused and Workforce Ready

What sets the CCR Pathway apart is its strong emphasis on Career Exploration and Work-Based Learning. Students benefit from:

GENERAL EDUCATION

12-22 Semester Hours Credit (SHC)

The education course selection encompasses supplementary coursework that prepares students for gateway mathematics and English courses aligned with the student's chosen academic and career pathway.

Supplemental Course Section (4-6 SHC)

Students who satisfy college readiness criteria are exempt from supplemental courses.

Gateway Course Section (6-8 SHC)

Select two courses from the following from at least two different disciplines.
