BIDS:
All animals receiving one or more bids will be sold to the highest bidder, and the auctioneer shall have the right to settle any and all disputes.
FREIGHT:
Thomas Charolais, Inc. will give $50 per animal credit for all animals picked up at the ranch on sale day. Free trucking within the continental U.S. to a central location will be provided on purchases totaling $10,000 or more per buyer. Trucking can be arranged for all other purchases. Animals for export will be delivered free of charge to a U.S. export facility within Texas on purchases totaling over $10,000.

LIABILITIES:
All persons attending the Thomas Charolais, Inc. cattle sale do so at their own risk, and the sellers assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents or occurrences that might happen in, or about the premises. Under Texas Law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice and Remedies Code), a farm animal professional or farm owner or lessee is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in farm animal activities, including an employee or independent contractor, resulting from the inherent risks of farm animal activities.
PAYMENT & RELEASE OF ANIMALS:
A cash settlement must be made upon completion of the sale unless other arrangements have been made with Mitch Thomas. Animals cannot be released until settlement is made. All checks are to be made payable to Thomas Charolais, Inc.
BREEDING GUARANTEES:
All bulls have been fertility tested within 30 days prior to sale. Each bull in the sale has passed the test for semen quality, sperm count and soundness. Each are guaranteed to be breeders and are so guaranteed for six months after the date of sale. Bulls that become injured or diseased after arriving at the buyer’s ranch do not fall under the breeding guarantee. Any bull found to be infertile by the buyer must be reported to Thomas Charolais, Inc. within the 6 month period following the sale. In the event an animal is claimed to be a non-breeder, the bull is to be returned to the seller. The seller may then replace the bull with a bull of equal or more value or refund the buyer only the amount paid for the individual bull. Seller also has the right to first test the returned bull for a one month period to verify his status as a non-breeder. Bulls must be returned in good health with proper health certificates and letter from a veterinarian describing the problem and the test results. The bulls must weigh as much as they did on sale day to ensure they have had proper care.
MANAGEMENT OF BULLS:
Sale bulls are given the following vaccinations: 3 months of age - Vision 8, Triangle 4 {IBR, BVD, BRSV, P13}; 6 months of age - Triangle 4, Vision 8, Dectomax Inj. Wormer, 8 months of ageBovi-Shield-4, One-Shot Ultra, Dehorned, Branded; 10 months of age - Dectomax; and 14 months of age and just prior to sale - Dectomax. Bulls were weaned and backgrounded for 60 days and turned out on limited supplement and grass for 90 days. Bulls were then put on a 14% protein growing ration. Bulls were ultrasound and put on full feed. Bulls are being fed a high roughage, silage based diet. They won’t fall apart. Scrotal measurements in the catalog were taken on January 15, 2026.
HEALTH AND FERTILITY:
All bulls will be health and fertility tested within 30 days of the sale. A health certificate will be provided on all animals. A breeding soundness evaluation was done on the bulls and are all found to be fertile.
All bulls in the sale have been tested for Progressive Ataxia (PA). Under their name they are listed as either PAF or PAC. PAF is Progressive Ataxia Free. The bulls do not have PA and cannot transmit the variant. PAC denotes a Progressive Ataxia Carrier. The bulls are not affected by PA but are carriers of the variant.
