Friends and Customers,
e cattle business has a sneaky way of preparing you for the curve balls that life chooses to send your way. As many of you are aware, Kendra, Jesse, and I welcomed the newest addition to our family this fall when Ivy Kaye decided to make an unexpected arrival on September 2nd. Much like most of yours, our ranch was bustling with all the fall duties from weaning and calving to female sale prep and harvest when our world took a fateful turn. In the blink of an eye, our focus had shi ed to the well-being of our new baby girl and the tasks at home were accumulating.
When the dust settled and we were able to bring Ivy and Kendra home from their 2.5 month stay at Bryan Medical East in Lincoln, it seemed nothing had missed a step on the ranch. From my perspective things were a blur, but thanks to many answered prayers, amazing support from our family, and the help of our great crew and closest friends, everything was in order. ank You doesn’t seem like enough, but today it’s the best I have to o er to everyone that pitched in with a helping hand.
Much like the roller coaster of life, the cattle industry has been an exhilarating ride over the past 12 months. We’ve seen many price records broken and well-deserved prosperity for our fellow beef producers, and I couldn’t be happier to see these levels of success for a large portion of our customers and friends. ere’s no way to predict what the future holds for our markets, but the outlook continues to shine brightly as we supply record demand. I’ve learned that the pendulum can swing fast and things will change without a moment’s notice. Perhaps, that’s part of the draw to the industry for those of us that are hooked on the risk and reward. Regardless, there’s no better way to raise a family and I couldn’t be more content spending my days alongside our tribe tending to our herd of cattle as we begin to train the next generation.
When it comes to this year’s o ering, we feel the cattle speak for themselves. We’ve worked diligently to build our path in the seedstock business, and our vision is beginning to take shape. is year’s set o ers as much industry relevance as any we’ve assembled, while staying true to the physical type that will stay in production in our environment. We are completely committed to raising good footed, e cient type cattle that generate premiums on sale day.
I could bore you for days with my obsession for all things beef cattle genetics, but I’ll spare you the agony. In short, if you are looking for an honest set of bulls that are bred to balance the needs of a demanding world, we are con dent our genetics are developed to ll the role. On behalf of our entire family and crew, thank you for taking the time to evaluate our cattle and program.
Best Regards,
Dustin Frank

SANDPOINT PROUD FORMERA 0128
SANDPOINT EMBLAZON 6569
SANDPOINT BEAUTY 5112
5062 is the best calving ease seedstock bull we have ever o ered. Not only do the genomics favor his BW and CED, but he has led the pack in terms of performance and ADG since weaning. Clearly, he has the gures to back it, but one look at his phenotype and it’s easy to see why he’s the lead bull in our Denver pen. Lot 1 is an elite Angus breeding bull, and we have full intentions of using him to help guide our program in the future.
On paper his genetic balance is on full display, he boasts 26 EPD’s and Indexes that rank in the top 30% of the breed or better, highlighted by his outstanding SC, Milk, Teat, and PAP EPD’s that all reach the top 10%. Perhaps most exciting to us, is his breed leading FL that ranks amongst the top 1% of the breed. He’s the kind of young sire that can leave a lasting impact on a cow herd.
e Beauty 810 donor has proven herself as a once in a lifetime foundation female that will take our program to new levels, and these ve lead bulls are proof of her potency. From Calving ease to performance, these bulls have it all. Not to mention the maternal strength and Functional Longevity of the cow family behind them. With the introduction of the new FL EPD in 2025, we were pleased to nd that our selection pressures for fertility and maternal e ciency were well represented with 810 nding herself as one of the top 10 proven dams of the entire Angus breed.
Lot 1
5068 is my favorite phenotype bull of the group, he’s exactly the type that works in our environment. He’s always been extremely dense in his muscle and body shape, and he couples that with an impeccable set of feet and legs. I have him marked as the female maker of the group and can’t wait to see the daughters he’ll generate.
Lot 2 ranks as the highest $C of this incredible ush at 315, he also balances up with 20 traits that rank within the top 30% of the breed or better. Including an outstanding FL that ranks in the top 10%, and growth traits that reach the top 3% respectively.
Lot 2
Lot 3 has the look of a true herd bull, he’s packed full of muscle and reads so masculine through his head and neck. If you need extra shape and performance this is the brother I would recommend. e best part is that he combines his extra performance and power with the excellent foot quality we rely on from the Beauty cow family.
We round out this extremely successful set of ush mates with one of the growthiest and fastest gaining bulls in the o ering. It’s obvious to see his performance on the hoof, but the best part is that he maintains a very modest set of calving ease EPD’s to go along with it. I won’t label him as a sure shot heifer bull, but I would recommend him for use on a set of young cows that need a shot of performance!
We are not the type to chase extremes and the genetic consistency in this set of ush mates is ampli ed in lot 4. He’s another balanced trait Eternity son that shines in terms of his foot quality, and once again ranks amongst the elites of the breed for FL, ranking in the top 1%.
Lot 3
Frank Beauty 4021, sold to Maydale Cattle Co. Olpe, KS
American Angus Association $Value Indexes
Dollar value indexes, or $Values, are a tool used to select for several traits at once based on a specific breeding objective. An economic index approach takes into account genetic and economic values as well as the relationships between traits to select for profit.
Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M), an index expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from conception to weaning. $M is built off of a self-replacing herd model where commercial cattlemen replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% in subsequent generations. Remaining cull females and all male progeny are sold as feeder calves. Increased selection pressure on $M aims to decrease overall mature cow size and improve foot structure and fertility while maintaining weaning weights consistent with today’s production.
Weaned Calf Value ($W), an index expressed in dollars per head, provides the expected difference in future progeny preweaning performance from birth to weaning. $W assumes that producers retain 20% of their female progeny for replacements and sell the rest of their cull female and male progeny as feeder calves. Over time, increased selection pressure on $W will increase weaning and maternal milk traits while also continuing to increase mature cow size.
Feedlot Value ($F), an index expressed in dollars per head, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for post-weaning merit compared to progeny of other sires. The underlying objective assumes commercial producers will retain ownership of cattle through the feedlot phase and sell fed cattle on a carcass weight basis with no considerations of premiums or discounts for quality and yield grade.
Grid Value ($G), an index expressed in dollars per carcass, is the expected average difference in future progeny performance for carcass grid merit, including quality and yield grade attributes, compared to progeny of other sires.
Beef Value ($B), an index expressed in dollars per carcass, facilitates simultaneous multi-trait genetic selection for feedlot and carcass merit. $B represents the expected average differences in the progeny postweaning performance and carcass value compared to progeny of other sires. This index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a quality-based carcass grid.
Combined Value ($C), an index expressed in dollars per head, includes all traits that make up both $M and $B with the objective that commercial producers will replace 20% of their breeding females per year with replacement heifers retained within their own herd. The remaining cull heifer and steer progeny are then assumed to be sent to the feedlot where the producers retain ownership of those cattle and eventually sell them on a quality-based carcass merit grid.
