Dear Friends, Thank you for considering our program, genetics and reading this letter. Sometimes we wonder about things, at least I do a lot. I wonder if anyone reads this letter. I’m sure most of us wonder what the banker is thinking. The political demonstrators need to wonder if anyone cares about their whining other than the media. Most of us in rural America wonder when they will move to another country. The cows wonder (I bet) when green grass will come, and so the list can go on. Most of us wonder about a recent purchase - How long it will last? Was it worth the money? Purchasing bulls or females to add to our herd can create a lot of wondering, especially since it takes so long to see a return on these new animals. Tina has a sign on my desk that is a quote from Will Rogers - “A farmer has to be an optimist or he wouldn’t still be a farmer”. This is something that all of us in production agriculture share - Optimism. Even the grouchiest of us are optimistic or we would not plant crops or breed livestock. Certainly we can all have much optimism with the Angus cattle. The American Angus Association has a wealth of data and knowledge that is used to help us make wise purchasing decisions that should not keep us wondering about the cattle and what they will do for our program. They have good people in the office and field that are charged with helping each of us use the data and information to make smart choices. I encourage everyone to take advantage
of the services and information that Angus has available to us. We at Vision Angus can help with that as well, just call or send us a message and we will do our part to keep you from wondering. All of us at Vision Angus have the desire to provide seedstock to you that will keep you optimistic. Predictable calving- ease, superior growth, desirable carcass merit, low maintenance cows and good looking feeder cattle are just the start. We want you to not wonder if your purchase at our sale will turn out for the better. We would rather have you report any issues or troubles to us so that we can help get things corrected sooner than later. Our goal is to do a better job of staying in touch with customers. Please do not wonder if we care about the success of your bull or heifer purchase. A positive impact from these animals in your program is the most important thing to us. We want to visit with you about the genetics we have to offer in this sale and the optimism we have in what they can do for you. Please give Zach, our cattle manager, Tina or myself a call and we will provide everything we know to help you not wonder. Sincerely,
Brent Vieselmeyer Vision Angus
