HORSE | LIVESTOCK FACILITIES Wake in the morning, a short walk to a dream barn suited for the safety and comfort of you and your stock. The 6-stall barn is built around an 18’ concrete alley that extends out to create a spacious covered entrance with room for grooming the horses and relaxing. Each stall has its own light, electrical outlet, and automatic waterer, and each stall has a Dutch door into its own Noble panel run. Along each stall, you will find a foldable saddle rack. HUNTING | WILDLIFE

Photo not taken on property 12

The big draw to hunting in southwestern Idaho is diversity. Mule deer and elk roam Owyhee, Boise, and Weiser River units, and you can find some whitetail along river corridors. Pronghorn antelope graze on the Owyhee desert sagebrush flats to the south. If small game is the goal, rabbits, ground squirrels, and coyotes are plentiful. It is important to research tag and permit requirements and be properly equipped to access the plentiful public lands. www.fayranches.com | 800.238.8616 | info@fayranches.com

FISHING Nearby rivers for fishing include the Boise, Payette, Snake, and Owyhee Rivers. Lake Lowell and the Owyhee Reservoir are also nearby. Venturing into local waters offers opportunities to find rainbow trout, steelhead, largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and more. Venturing a bit farther opens up additional miles of rivers and lakes. Photo not taken on property

Leave home and step into the heart of the Sunnyslope Wine Trail, Idaho’s premier wine region, named the next must-visit wine destination by wine critics and travel writers nationwide, sitting within the Snake River Valley AVA and home to more than 20 boutique, familyowned wineries. Rolling hillside vineyards and orchards frame views of the Owyhee Mountains, and many wineries host farm-to-fork dinners among the vines each summer. Pair that with Garden City’s craft distilleries and Boise’s acclaimed brewery scene just a short drive away, and a Caldwell address puts you at the center of a robust culinary and beverage destination. 13

AREA HISTORY Pioneers on the Oregon Trail passed through this stretch of southwestern Idaho, drawn by open land and the promise of a fresh start long before Caldwell became the heart of the Treasure Valley. The town took root in 1883, when railroad man Robert Strahorn staked a claim on a sagebrush flat, and what began as a rough rail stop soon grew into a thriving agricultural hub. Early irrigation projects turned the arid valley into fertile farmland, drawing ranchers and dreamers alike. Then in 1959, the region earned its now-famous name, the Treasure Valley, in honor of its abundant resources and opportunities. Caldwell has blossomed into one of Idaho’s fastest-growing communities, its historic downtown reborn while the surrounding farmland and open range preserve the western character that drew settlers here more than a century ago. To call this land home is to become part of a story still being written, rooted in resilience, growth, and the enduring pull of wide-open country.
