ROOF PRIMERS
PREPARE SURFACE
Roof coatings deliver benefits such as providing UV and weathering protection, energy savings and improve the aesthetic of the roof. Roofing primers support those benefits by improving adhesion for longterm protection and can prevent bleed through on white roof coatings from asphaltic surfaces. Depending on the substrate of the roof, the condition of the roof or your desired roof coating Rust-Oleum® offers the correct roof primer to support your project.
WATER-BASED RUST PRIMER Formulated to provide a tough, flexible film to protect steel against atmospheric corrosion it resists the effects of moisture. When used with Rust-Oleum® acrylic elastomeric coatings it protects against rust in normal industrial environments. • Water-based primer that can be applied directly over rust • Apply when using elastomeric coatings • Improves adhesion of topcoat to metal surface • Nationally VOC Compliant
MULTI-SURFACE ADHESION PRIMER Rust-Oleum® 105 Multi-Surface Adhesion Primer improves topcoat adhesion when applied to single ply membranes such as EPDM, PVC, PIB, TPO and Hypalon which may be too slick for direct application of roof coatings. • Promotes adhesion of topcoat to increase life span of roof coating • Ideal for use on new single ply roofs and other tough-to-stick surfaces (including elastomeric and asphalt-emulsion roof coatings • Topcoat with Elastomeric Aluminum or Black Roof Coatings • Nationally VOC Compliant
