Dear Members – I think we can all agree that we’ve had enough rain this summer to last us a lifetime! Here’s to hoping for a long extended warm and dry Indian Summer! The leaves on our numerous trees and parklike golf course have started to turn to the many vibrant hues of Fall. This season is certainly one of the nicest season at the Club, with the cooling weather, the picturesque scenery and scent of burning log fires. Having wrapped up a busy summer season indeed, even with the weather that we’ve had, we are now working hard to make sure that you will all enjoy the approaching holiday seasons. The golf course is in top playing conditions and manicured to the last blade of grass, and a note of gratitude is certainly warranted to our Golf Course Superintendent and his greenkeepers as well as to our PGA Head Golf Professional, Noah Bodt and his professional staff for ensuring top playing conditions and numerous tournaments and events out on our picturesque course! With November around the corner, our Paddle Season is ramping up! If you have not yet signed-up for paddle we urge you to do so sooner rather than later in order to start enjoying the many playing leagues and camaraderie on and off the courts. Our renovation plans for the courts are still on the front burner even though the weather has played havoc with our scheduling. To have minimal impact, the work will be scheduled during the week and will be completed in 12 days at the most.
In the Clubhouse, things are as active as ever, between us revamping our menu specials to reflect the change in seasons, introducing a new “On the Fly” lunch menu, our Oktoberfest Thursdays and many new cocktail offerings at the Lakeside Bar! Our Catering and Private Dinning department has been very active as well, with numerous parties large and small and gearing up for the many holiday celebrations yet to come! If you have not yet booked your holiday event, we urge you to do so as soon as possible as our private rooms are booking up rather fast! Please stay tuned for many other special soirees that we have in store for you, ranging from our Ladies Night Out, to our Brunello vs. Barolo Wine Dinner, an exclusive Scotch & Cigar Dinner in November, our renowned Thanksgiving Day celebrations to our culminating event of the year, our Champagne Dinner in December featuring a very rare and exclusive tasting of Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne!! Last but not least, please remember that my staff and I are always at your service! PLAY Paddle Platform Tennis, or “Paddle” as it is commonly referred to is an American racquet sport primarily played outdoors in cold weather which provides a unique opportunity to enjoy fresh air, competition and social engagement during the winter months. Ramsey Golf & Country Club’s 2018 -2019 Paddle Tennis season has begun! Enrollment forms have been mailed to each of you. Be sure to review the rules and regulations, located on the member website, and submit your registration documents no later than Wednesday, November 1st for discounted rates.
Dear MembersWe have had another fantastic summer here at the club. Thank you to all of you who continue to join us year after year and to new members, we hope you’ve enjoyed your first summer here! As the days get shorter and the nights get longer the trees will start to dress into their vibrant colors, while a chill creeps into the air– it’s an unmistakable sign– Autumn is upon us! Those of you who think that the game is best played in a sweater will most certainly enjoy this Fall Season! After all, cool weather does not mean you have to let your golf game hibernate. Fall is also the beginning of our Paddle Tennis Program here at the Club. All of you should have received the enrollment paddle tennis forms by now. If it is not the case, feel free to reach out to me at mjohnson@ramseycountryclub.com and I will be more than happy to send them to you. The enrollment fees for the paddle tennis are as follows: Family: $718 Single: $436 In addition, please always keep in mind our referral program for new Associate Golf members. We’ve got a great promotion in place and what better way to spend your day at the club but with a Friend or Family member. Holiday Great News! Our beautiful traditional Luminaries are back! After a lot of push back, hard work and perseverance from our amazing members the Fire Marshal has approved the use of fire retardant bags with real candles! That being said, our Head of Luminaries last year, Meredyth Roome, has moved out of the club and will no longer be able to run the Holiday Luminaries this year. If anyone is interested in volunteering to take her place or to be a street captain please let Maggie, our membership coordinator, know at mjohnson@ramseycountryclub.com.

FALL INTO FLAVOR Oktoberfest is here and now! Join us Thursday Nights for specialized German treats as well as having some of our seasonal beers to boot. Newly added Craft Beer list in the Bar should get more traction as we shift into a grand variety of beers from our Blue Moon Harvest Pumpkin to Spaten Oktoberfest and other forthcoming updates as the releases come about! It doesn’t have to be Oktoberfest to have a beer though, so you can join us Thursday Nights also for Football and check out our Wonderful Wings going from Beer Bacon Glazed wings to Pineapple Teriyaki. Experiment with a few and find your favorite because there is a lot of flavor coming your way on game day! The Holidays will be with us in a moment, so keep in mind for family gatherings our cozy Fireplace and Bradford Room are HOT SPOTS for many and reserved quickly on a first request basis- so call well in advance! Wednesday night before Thanksgiving will be our busiest with Donny & the Divas returning to our Lakeside Grille to rock you into Turkey Day. Though the Lakeside Grille will be closed on Thanksgiving, our Bar will be open for those who would like to pass though, as well as the Abbey and Ballroom via reservations only. December will bring our caroling trio by once again to get everyone in the spirit of the season, so join us Friday and Saturday nights in the Grille to listen to a lovely Holiday Harmony! As the Club goes from the oranges and yellows of Fall to the reds and greens of the Holiday season, we would like you and your family right there with us, continuing to build memories in your Club. Enjoy a seasonal craft beer, try a newly added wine to test your palate, or experiment with Chef’s seasonal menu specials to keep things as exciting and lively as this busy time of year gets! Alongside neighbors and friends, we’ll see you soon in the Lakeside Grille! Perfect for families both large and small, our buffet feast in the Grand Ballroom is a great setting for your Thanksgiving holiday. Seating in the Ballroom is scheduled for 12:00pm, 12:30pm, 3:00pm and 3:30pm. $52.00 per adult | $26.00 per child
Thanksgiving Day At-Home packages are also available. Our offering feeds up to 10 people and include all of the traditional fixings including dessert and is available for pick-up or delivery to resident members on Thanksgiving Day. $450 per package plus tax

Fall is here which means beautiful scenery and cooler days out on the golf course. We hope everyone can enjoy those final days of golf. Remember that as we get into fall, the chance of frost is upon us so always check the tee sheet or call the golf shop for information. As the season winds down, everyone should be spending their credits by taking advantage of numerous new apparel items for fall and taking advantage of the deep discounts around the golf shop. Now is also the time to choose that golf club you have been hoping to get with your credits. Numerous demo clubs will be on their way back soon so try them now while the weather is still conducive to getting feedback from the golf club. Special orders will be taken when possible so please let us know right away in the golf shop if there is something not in stock that you are looking to use your credits for. Look for a notice on the annual holiday sale that will begin just before Thanksgiving.

Dear Golfers – It has been a rough summer to say the least. My team and I have worked tirelessly in ensuring peak conditions on the course regardless of what mother nature had in store for us. A lot of area courses have suffered a lot of damage and I am pleased that we were able to weather the storms and stay in relatively good shape. With Fall upon us, we have begun to work on some of the problem areas out on the course, such as re-doing the #6 Tee and revamping the #4 Tee. The new Tee on #12 will be finished as well so that it will be playable by Spring 2019. We will continue to touch areas as needed and begin aeration. As November and December approach, we will begin to winterize the course for its winter hibernation. My crew and I remain committed to providing you the best playing conditions that we can and we are appreciative of the Green’s Committee guidance and the membership support overall! Dress Code on the Golf Course All golfers shall wear only spikeless and/or soft-spike shoes or sneakers. No metal spiked golf shoes are permitted. The golf professional staff can answer any questions relative to acceptable shoes and may deny playing privileges for anyone wearing shoes deemed inappropriate. The following is a list of items that are considered unacceptable golfing attire for men and women:
Denim jeans/ shorts of any color Cut off or “cargo” style pants Camouflage clothing of any type Ripped, torn or tattered clothing Jogging / athletic or tennis attire Tee shirts/ tank tops Open mesh clothing of any type

Holiday Cookie Decorating As Christmas is creeping closer and closer , it’s getting to be time to prepare for this holiday associated with so many traditions. One of those traditions is cookie decorating! Cookie Decorating Day is here to help all children get as much fun out of the season as possible! This event is complimentary to all members.
