From the General Manager Dear Members: With the July 4th holiday upon us, we are also fast approaching the mid-point of our summer season. Things could never be more exciting around the Club. All facilities around the Club have been a busy hub of activities all around! With the Bunker Renovation program, now completed and behind us, conditions on the course have never been better! Kudos to our Golf Course Superintendent, Jason Struss and his team of greenskeepers for maintaining the course conditioning and play conditions to the best levels in recent memories – thank you! To that effect, our PGA Head Golf Professional, Noah Bodt and his team of golf professionals, have certainly not remained idle. Each and every season, they keep reinventing themselves, the service and amenities that we have to offer to all of our golfing members, adults and juniors alike. While the Paddle Tennis season is currently on break, plans are underway to completely overhaul our paddle courts and paddle hut in preparation for what proves to be an unsurpassed paddle season coming up at the Club! The long awaited hot weather is upon us and the Pool & Beach facilities are breaming with activities. We are rooting for yet another successful RG&CC Swim Team season, the new enhancements at the Pool and Pool Café have been well received by our young and young at heart members and the beach & boating program are more popular than ever, not to mention that that our Tiki Bar Fridays, complete with palm trees and tropical libations have been the best attended ones yet! Last and certainly not least, our International Food & Wine Festival has been successfully launched to great success and our culinary team keep surpassing itself to unprecedented levels – why travel the world – when the world will come to you at Ramsey Golf & Country Club! Our Wine Dinner Series keep selling out, and the upcoming Al Fresco Chateau Ste. Michelle, on Thursday, July 19th already sold out weeks in advance! Our upcoming Ladies Night Out event on the Abbey Patio will be sponsored by one of the best vodkas in the market – Absolut Elyx!! We also urge you to please save the date of Saturday, August 11 th for our Codigo Tequila Dinner on the Beach, featuring amongst many others the unique Tequila Rosado – a perfectly pink summer tequila! Our season, may be flying by fast, but what better way to enjoy this summer than by partaking of everything that your Club has to offer!

I hope everyone has a chance to get out and enjoy the weather. During the hot summer days, make sure to visit our Jr. size Olympic Pool to cool down from the hot heat! For those of you who have not had a chance to sign up for the pool, you can still do so. Feel free to stop by the Club to fill out the forms and pick up the pool badges. The 2018 Pool Fees for the season go as follows: Family- $436 Single- $259 Many exciting clubhouse events are just around the corner. Be sure to check the calendar and newsletters for the specific events and dates so you can plan to join us throughout the summer. Be sure to bring a friend and show them what it is like to be a RG&CC Member and if by chance they have questions about membership you know who to send them to. Keep in mind RG&CC Referral Program, if you refer a potential golf member and they join, you will receive $1,000 credit on your account, so spread the word. We are always grateful for your referrals and truly appreciate the help you give in growing our membership. Ladies Night Out - July 11th
Family Movie Night - August 17th
Ladies, this is your night! Get a jumpstart on your weekend and join us on the patio for a relaxed evening with friendly company! Indulge in homemade tapas while enjoying a variety of our favorite cocktails. A special tapas menu will be prepared for your enjoyment a la carte.

Tequila Dinner - August 11th What's better than sinking your toes in the sand while sipping on tequila? Join us for our Tequila Dinner on the Beach! Enjoy delicious food while tasting different tequilas and learning about them from an expert! The price for this special evening on the beach is $85.00 plus tax and gratuity. Open to members and their guests! Stay tuned for additional information!
Wine Tasting Dinner - September 27th The evening will commence on our beautiful ceremony area with specialty wines and butler passed hors d’oeuvres . Afterwards, you can make your way onto our Abbey Patio and indulge in a four course tasting reception narrarated by an educated speaker. The price for this one-of-a-kind evening affair is $85.00 per person plus tax and gratuity. Stay tuned for additional information!
Lobsterfest - September 1st Come and relax lakeside at our Seventh Annual Lobsterfest on the Beach! Indulge in steamed lobsters, seafood specialties, home-style fried chicken, and cornbread, as well as beer and wine.

Summer is indeed finally here! Congratulations to all the graduates, and thank you to all the parents and families that joined us in the Grille Room for a celebratory dinner! We wish them the best in their new upcoming adventures! Full-steam ahead on our International Food and Wine festival; expect exciting foods and wines from Chile to Brazil to New Zealand throughout the summer weeks. July 11th will be our Ladies’ Night Out hosted in our Abbey and Patio, sign up online via the social calendar to register. Please keep in mind the Abbey does have a limit on the amount of members we can host, so register sooner rather than later. If you would be unable to attend on July 11th, there are no worries as our Abbey Patio will be available throughout the summer on Tuesday Evenings. Bring your own Bottle of wine, enjoy international eclectic foods and relax to the views of the golf course and lake. Join us also for a different, but lively atmosphere for our Friday Night Tiki Bar down by the beach featuring great tunes, neighborly faces and a select cocktail bar for you to enjoy while the kids play in the sand. Every Friday, 6pm to 9pm. Then, as all good things must come to an end, summer trends may retire come September. Look forward to our Parent-Teacher Night Specials in the bar for school-select dates. Try your utmost to get the last squeeze out of summer and continue to join us at the Tiki Bar which will continue a few weeks after Labor Day, weather permitting! In the Lakeside Grille, we will continue to test your palate with not only intriguing specials and seasonal menu additions, but also with updating wine selections, enhancing our Single Malt Scotch menu as well as crafting the perfect seasonal cocktails we believe would suit our members best. Recently, a great feature is our $15 White Sangria pitcher available as soon as your next visit! As we transition between seasons and menu selections, so has a bitter-sweet transition come for some of our great staff members. After many seasons of loyal dedicate service, Steve Agnello has retired his martini shaker, though you may still see him here and there working various member events. We also bid farewell to a number of other dedicated bartenders and servers who have strived to make your dining experience all that much better. Having said that, not all hope is lost, as we are continually looking and adding new additions to our team or service professionals who will continue to enhance your dining experience at the Club. We continue to look forward and are indeed thankful for your patronage in our quaint, relaxed yet fine dining environment at Lakeside Grille & Bar.

Please be sure to stop by the golf shop for all your needs and remember that all equipment prices are the same as the large discount stores. Come and demo any of the new equipment by Callaway, TaylorMade or Ping. Dozens od logo golf bags in stock, Bushnell 4th of July promotion, and 20% to 50% off apparel sales continue through the summer. Please be sure to use the golf calendar to register for future golf events and if you have not yet downloaded the “club essentials” app, I highly recommend it and if you need assistance, stop by the golf shop and we’d be happy to help you. We hope to see everyone working on their golf game as much as possible and want you to know we are here to help with expert instruction from PGA Professionals so please take advantage and start improving today. To the Fairway Dear Golfers – The proof is in the pudding as they say, and my team and I for one are proud of what we were able to achieve thus far and the plans that we have in place for the future. With the bunker program now complete, we are proud that we have some of the better playing bunkers in Bergen County – you’ll know what we mean should you land in one – even though you may have not meant to. Come rain or shine, nothing will deter us from our hard work in ensuring that each and everyone of you have the best playing conditions possible. Mother nature may throw us curve balls now and then but with the support of the Greens Committee and the membership overall, we remain committed to making your playing season the best one yet! As a kind reminder, maintaining the golf course is every player’s responsibility, from raking bunkers to fixing ball marks and filling in divots. Dress Code around the Club All golfers shall wear only spikeless and/or soft-spike shoes or sneakers. No metal spiked golf shoes are permitted. The golf professional staff can answer any questions relative to acceptable shoes and may deny playing privileges for anyone wearing shoes deemed inappropriate. The following is a list of items that are considered unacceptable golfing attire for men and women:
Denim jeans or shorts of any color Cut off pants and “cargo” style pants or shorts Camouflage clothing of any type Short shorts (any length above mid thigh) Ripped, torn or tattered clothing Jogging attire Sweat shirts or pants ( Athletic Gear) Tee shirts or tank tops Tennis attire Open mesh ( fish net) clothing of any type Baseball caps worn backwards All shirt must be tucked-unless - specifically tailored to be un-tucked A collarless shirt (mock turtleneck), which is a part of a coordinated golf outfit, is acceptable.
Clothing worn in the Clubhouse must be clean and presentable. Inappropriate attire includes , but is not limited to:
Bathing Suits Tattered Clothing Tank Tops Bare feet Cut-off Shorts Hats Visors Tee Shirts for individuals over the age of 14 years Golf Shoes Flip Flops
Get in the It may be hot out, but it’s nice and cool in the water! Summer has arrived and we are happy to see so many members relaxing poolside with the kids. Be sure to take advantage of the many programs your lifeguards have planned this summer season including both private and group swim lessons for our littlest swimmers. Happy Hour on the Beach Sink your toes in the sand and kickoff each weekend with a cocktail in hand! Our Happy Hour on the Beach continues to be a tremendous success as members and guests enjoy signature cocktails, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment at our very own tiki bar! Available every Friday between 6:00pm-9:00pm, now through September, don’t miss out on the fun!
Kayak Usage Kayaks and paddle boat rentals are available for a nominal fee down at the Club Beach. All participants must be at least 15 years of age and waivers must be signed prior to use. Please see a lifeguard for assistance. Kayak storage racks are available by the lake for your conveniences. While these racks are available free of charge, we must ensure all kayaks are accounted for. As such, the Club has implemented Kayak Tags for each member utilizing the storage space. You can pick up a tag at your earliest convenience at the Club Concierges desk. 2018 Kayak Tags are first come first serve.

Meet your Coaches I've been a part of the RGCC swim team since I was seven years old. I know the younger swimmers very well due to being on the team and coaching for a few years and I'm excited to work with them again this year. I was a four year varsity swimmer on the Ramsey High School Swim Team, I swam for the Bergen Barracudas for a year and I lifeguarded at the RGCC pool last year. I know we will have a great season and look forward to working with everyone. Go RGCC!
I am a Junior at Ramsey High School. I have been swimming on RGCC Swim Team since I was 5 years old. I helped coach the team last year. I am Captain of the Ramsey High School swim team and I also compete with Lifetime Swim Team in Montvale.
Lauren is going to be a freshman at the University of Georgia. She played soccer and ran track all through high school. Lauren was a member of he RGCC swim program for 8 years and swam competitively with the Barracudas for 4 years. She is very excited about the upcoming swim season!
