Dear Class of 2025 Graduate,
Congratulations on reaching this incredible milestone! Your hard work and dedication have not only shaped your own journey but have also had a lasting impact on the community around you. As you step into the world beyond Ramapo, your achievements will continue to shape the legacy of this institution.
Aristotle wrote, “The energy of the mind is the essence of life.” As you move into the next chapter of your life, take a moment to reflect on all you’ve overcome and all you’ve accomplished. And remember—this is just the beginning. Keep the energy high, keep pushing forward, and never stop striving to be bold, kind, and supportive of those around you.
Your journey at Ramapo has equipped you with the skills to lead with purpose, tackle challenges, and work alongside others with confidence. Now, it’s time to channel that energy into the world around you. Approach every interaction with kindness, and always remember that learning doesn’t end when you leave campus. You may not have all the answers, but your dedication to understanding and improving the world, one step at a time, will always light your way.
On behalf of your faculty and staff, we are so proud of you and excited for all that lies ahead. Please know that we are always here for you—whether to celebrate your wins or support you through challenges. Stay connected. We can’t wait to hear how your energy continues to inspire the world.
Once a Roadrunner, always a Roadrunner!

The Anisfield School of Business provides comprehensive learning experiences in the business disciplines and in the human skills necessary for a rewarding life and career.
Our students approach their business studies from both a macro and micro perspective; they develop both rational and emotional intelligence; they develop both analytical and creative skills; and they learn to balance profitability with sustainability. In addition to a strong foundation in the business disciplines, the Anisfield School of Business provides a strong liberal arts and interdisciplinary foundation to broaden the student’s perspective and intellectual abilities.
In the spring of 2006, the original Ramapo College School of Administration and Business was renamed the Anisfield School of Business in recognition of the generous gifts of the Anisfield family. Since 2010, the Anisfield School of Business has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. AACSB accreditation ensures that we are fulfilling our mission: to provide students with a strong educational foundation for a lifetime of learning and for career achievement as responsible contributors and
Ph.D.
leaders, within a supportive learning environment where engaged faculty bridge theory and practice. AACSB accreditation also ensures that our core values— academic excellence, professionalism, and learning bydoing, diversity, integrity, social responsibility, global awareness and continuous improvement —are manifest in our teaching, research, and service to the College and community.
The School offers seven undergraduate majors: B.S. in Accounting, B.S. in Marketing, B.S. in Finance, B.S. in Management, B.A. in Economics, B.S. in Information Technology Management, and B.A. in International Business. The school offers minors in Accounting, Economics, Information Technology Management, International Business, Sports Management, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, and Entrepreneurship. At the graduate level, the Anisfield School of Business offers a “4+1” B.S. to M.S. in Accounting and a “4+1” Flex
MBA Program for undergraduate business majors, in which students complete both their undergraduate and graduate degrees in just five years.
Academic advisement, career guidance, and professional development are integrated throughout a student’s years at Ramapo College. The ASB Cahill Career Development Center assists students in finding internships and co-ops during their undergraduate experience, and relevant fulltime employment—the first step in building fulfilling careers—upon graduation. The Career Center also administers our Career Pathways Program (required for graduation), which provides students with skills/ interests assessment, resume preparation, and interviewing skill development.
Outside of the classroom, our students are heavily involved in major-specific clubs, as well as Alpha Kappa Psi (co-ed business fraternity), ENACTUS (social entrepreneurship organization), the Roadrunner Financial Group Student Investment Club, the Entrepreneurship Club, the Women in Business Club, the Fashion Marketing Club, the Ramapo Management Consulting Group, and three professionally-oriented honor societies: Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron Delta Epsilon, and Beta Alpha Psi.

For over 40 years, The School of Contemporary Arts has been an interdisciplinary arts program committed to providing students with an outstanding education in the visual, performing, and communication arts with a strong emphasis on the Ramapo College pillars: interdisciplinary curriculum, international education, intercultural understanding and experiential learning opportunities. The School, which is inherently interdisciplinary in its structure and its goals, recognizes the interconnectedness of the arts in contemporary society, and encourages students to develop and communicate ideas in multiple media. Excellent instruction in the visual arts, communication arts, theater, and music takes place in small studio, lab, seminar, and discussion settings, as well as through activities outside the classroom environment. Practical experience, public presentation, and reflection are integrated into the educational process in many ways, such as through required Internships, theater production, musical performance and recording, visual arts production and exhibition, and the production and viewing of video, film, and design work.
The School’s faculty are dedicated teachers, nationally known for their professional artistic and scholarly
achievements. In addition to the full-time faculty, the school attracts many working artists and media professionals to teach as adjunct faculty, or to serve as guest artists. Because of our small class sizes, the faculty are able to mentor students closely and help them realize their artistic and professional potential and goals.
The School of Contemporary Arts offers five majors: Communication Arts (with concentrations in Digital Filmmaking, Global Communication and Media, Digital Journalism And Writing, and Visual Communication Design) Music (with concentrations in: Music Industry, Music Performance, Music Production, and Music Studies), Theater (with concentrations in: Acting, Directing/Stage Management, Design/Technical Theater, and Theater Studies), Visual Arts (with concentrations in: Art History, Drawing and Painting, Sculpture, Electronic Art and Animation, and Photography),
Contemporary Arts Contract
Major (an interdisciplinary major that enables students to develop individualized programs that correspond to their special interests and career goals).
The School is housed in the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for Performing and Visual Arts, featuring theater, music, and visual arts spaces, and in C and H buildings, which provide a classrooms and studios including the Les Paul recording studio, digital imaging and writing labs, an editing lab, a field production classroom, and private editing suites. Additionally, the School occupies a free-standing sculpture studio complex. Students benefit from the professional performing arts programming on campus which include music, dance, and theater performances in the Sharp Theater, and from the visual arts exhibitions in the college Art Galleries, which focus on contemporary art in changing exhibitions, and which feature one of the foremost collections of works from the Americas and the Caribbean in the permanent collection. Additionally, students participate across campus in extracurricular activities including those connected to specific CA Programs.
The curricula across CA emphasizes an understanding of the traditions of the past while exploring new means of storytelling, expression, media, and communication. Students are
encouraged to move freely across the disciplines of the school to more fully experience the creative process and to build upon knowledge gained in areas outside their majors. And, of course, students take full advantage of the campus’s proximity to New York City with its unlimited opportunities in the arts and media.

It encourages faculty/ student collaborative research as a continuing course of study. Its faculty and graduates continue to serve as rich resources for governmental agencies, academic institutions, and private research facilities in promoting the public good and educational excellence.

Through this trip, I challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new experiences. Meeting people from all over the world, trying new foods, and traveling solo taught me to trust myself and build confidence. I realized how meaningful it is to connect with others and create friendships across cultures. This journey prepared me for life after graduation by teaching me resilience, adaptability, and the value of being open to the world.
Exploring Hruboskalsko Nature Reserve with peers from across the U.S. was an unforgettable experience. We bonded over hiking through breathtaking sandstone rock formations and sharing stories along the way. Spending a month in this stunning location strengthened our connections and created memories I’ll always cherish.
was like stepping into history. The Gothic architecture and stories behind this landmark brought Czech culture to life in an unforgettable way. Exploring sites like this helped me connect with the past and appreciate the richness of the country’s heritage.
During the 2024 summer session, I completed an internship in Rome, Italy doing marketing for an independent film company, which taught me so much about the field and prepared me for my career in marketing. Through this experience, I met so many new people, made amazing friends, and found a sense of belonging in a completely new environment (and I went without knowing a single person!). Studying abroad was the best decision I made throughout college, so much so that I am looking into going abroad for my master’s degree!
Emily Romano Summer
My name is Hannah Steinlauf and I am a graduating history major with a minor in museum and exhibition studies. Studying abroad in Ireland was by far the most influential decision I’ve ever made, as I have decided to pursue my graduate degree in Ireland as well! Without the confidence from studying abroad, I would never have pushed myself to apply for top graduate programs like Trinity College, or a Fulbright Scholarship. Being able to immerse myself in another culture for four months showed me how wide the world is, and how independent I am. I am forever grateful for that opportunity.

Studying abroad at The American College of Greece was an unforgettable experience that allowed me to fully immerse myself in a new culture. I traveled to five other countries and explored the stunning Greek Islands, each offering its own unique beauty and traditions. Meeting people from around the world gave me the chance to build meaningful connections and broaden my perspective. The experience pushed me outside of my comfort zone, encouraging
The American College of Greece organized a downtown tour. We were fortunate to see the Grand Change which involves the entire guard, officers, and a military band marching from the Guard Barracks to the Tomb for the Change, and back. This only happens on Sundays at specific hours.
Living in Athens was truly an amazing experience. I had the privilege of exploring ancient ruins, vibrant neighborhoods, and coastal towns. The warm hospitality of the locals made my transition to life in Greece heartfelt. I had countless conversations with locals, learning about their lives, traditions, and perspectives. These interactions deepened my understanding of the country and its people.
Beyond the cultural experiences, studying in Athens allowed me to apply my academic knowledge to realworld situations. Experiencing the different business ethics and structures allowed me to get a deeper understanding of the lectures back at Ramapo. The blend of academic rigor and cultural immersion
My roommates and I in Cyprus visiting the sea caves in Ayia Napa. The water and scenery were so beautiful to look at. The caves were about 10 meters high and had certain areas open to go down and explore inside.
Behind me is the Duomo Di Milano. The architecture was stunning and so detailed. The closer you went to the cathedral the more you can see the stories of each sculpture ingrained into the walls.
I took a day trip to Delphi, Greece. I learned that the Temple of Apollo, perched on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, was a powerful reminder of ancient Greece’s spiritual and cultural importance. It was surreal to stand in the same place where pilgrims once sought divine guidance from the Oracle of Delphi.
My first trip inside of Greece after a few weeks into studying. A charming coastal town on the northwest side of the island. This was next to their famous lighthouse.

Having the opportunity to study abroad in Athens, Greece was such an incredible and memorable experience that allowed me to grow academically, personally, and professionally. Experiencing a new culture, new cuisine, and new lifestyle has taught me so many valuable life lessons that will guide me throughout my life post-graduation. Studying abroad was crucial in my college career and prepared me for the future because it opened my eyes to a new world full of opportunities, new connections, and new perspectives.
Studying abroad in Greece will always be my most fond college memory. The experience of going abroad was unlike anything else. Being able to immerse myself in a new culture in a country as welcoming as Greece was incredible. The friends and travel memories I made along the way are irreplaceable!
Traveling Greece by boat or ferry was my favorite because you get to experience all the beautiful landscapes and sceneries of the country! and having the opportunity to do so while studying abroad was incredible.
I knew I wanted to study abroad since I was in community college. As a transfer student, the Roukema Center was able to help me with all of my transfer credits and made it possible for me to study abroad and graduate on time. My time abroad helped me to develop independence and helped to open my eyes to so much more of the world; it was a transformative experience. I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to spend six months in London and travel to 13 countries. This experience was invaluable to my business education and provided me with more options for my future career as I have started to consider working abroad post-graduation.
My study abroad experience in Berlin, Germany, profoundly impacted my academic and career path. Along with this incredible experience to advance my understanding and studies in Holocaust and Genocide Studies, I gained a deeper understanding of how history is remembered and honored. This experience fueled my commitment to Holocaust and genocide studies and inspired me to pursue a career in museum education, where I hope to contribute to the preservation and education of these critical memories. Studying abroad prepared me to approach my future career with a global perspective and a dedication to remembrance and education.

DEAREST BRIAN, CONGRATULATIONS ON ACHIEVING THIS MAJOR MILESTONE. MAY YOU CONTINUE TO FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS AND NEVER EVER LET THAT “FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN” STOP BURNING BRIGHT! YOU HAVE ALWAYS MADE US SO PROUD.
WE LOVE YOU, MOM & DAD
Dear Christian,
We are incredibly proud of you! Two parents could not have asked for a better son. You have worked hard to achieve your goals, and you should be proud of your accomplishments. Remember this journey you’ve been on during your days at Ramapo. Remember the obstacles you overcame to get this far. Remember all that you have done to get to this moment, and never forget you can achieve even greater successes. Believe that you can do great things and you will have even greater successes. Believe in yourself, we believe in you! We love you so much, and we will always be there for you!
With all our love, Mom and Dad
Today marks the culmination of your years of hard work, studies, dedication, determination, and of course, fun. We were filled with pride each time we watched you cheer (in your own way) on fields, play in one of your many bands, and danced on stage in school plays (and in the kitchen, our favorite). You made us extremely proud when you accepted your Presidential Scholarship awarded from Ramapo College. You filled us with joy when you joined A Moment of Magic, and what a Magical character assignment! Our very own princess, making the list of top three most active volunteers in the country, and helping RCNJ make the top two most active chapters nationwide. Imagine the impact you have made on others’ lives. Your multiple E-board roles are impressive, as well as working in CSI, around your classes. We were blessed with a wonderful daughter, and were pleased with your natural love for reading, music, and Disney. We could not be more proud of you for all your accomplishments and who you are. May you continue to make magical memories, soar to new heights, and achieve your dreams!
”There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow”
Love, Mom, Dad, & Andrew
Dear Nicolas,
I have always been so proud of you, from the little boy I helped raise, to the young man you are today. I want to congratulate you on your academic accomplishment and I am so happy to have been part of your journey. They say grandsons inherit traits from their maternal grandmothers and I believe we are proof of that. We both enjoy drinking mate, traveling and the love for Liverpool soccer. As Liverpool fans, we will never walk alone and the love we have for each other will last a lifetime.
Congratulations on your graduation, I wish you the best life has to offer, health, love and prosperity.
Dear Nicolas,
You have done so much these past three and a half years. Commuting to school, working, exercising, playing some soccer, you have been working really hard, never complained and have shown us how responsible and dedicated you can be. We are proud of you, we always have been and want you to know we are always here to support you and help you in any way we can.
Thank you for always being a good son and making us proud.
Keep pushing yourself to be the best version of yourself, you have so much potential, never forget that and never doubt yourself.
Congratulations on your achievement!! We love you so much, Mom and Papi :)
Lex, what an amazing journey your time spent at Ramapo has been. You poured so much of your heart and soul into the Roadrunner swim team and the ASA sorority, while working so persistently and tirelessly to earn your degree in Nursing. You have made lifetime friendships and memories you will have forever. You encountered so many challenges over the past 4 years, that you overcame and pushed through with such determination, and that fighting spirit that you have had since the day you came into this world. You have such a kind and loving heart, always putting others first and before yourself.
We are beyond proud of you and all that you’ve accomplished! Keep believing in yourself, never stop chasing your dreams, and always stand strong in your values. The world is yours to conquer! Stay true to yourself and never stop reaching for the stars! We have no doubt that you’ll make an incredible impact on the lives of your patients.” You are going to be the most amazing nurse!
We love you to the moon and back.

Elijah, we are extremely proud of what you have so far accomplished in life. We remember, like it was yesterday, looking into your giant eyes as a baby and seeing the bright light that would follow you throughout all of your accomplishments. Remember how we all jumped and celebrated when you received the emails from Ramapo telling you that you were accepted with a scholarship? That was a celebration we will never forget. Receiving your college degree is the next milestone we are looking forward to; and it is just around the corner. Followed by being the first person in our
family to receive a Master’s Degree. We are extremely happy that you made friends with a group of people that we hope will last a lifetime.
We love you and are so proud of you. As well as your grandmother, god parents and the entire family.
Keep smiling, keep respecting all people and keep reaching for all of your goals. We know you will accomplish all of them. That bright light we saw as a baby, and still see to this day, will continue to be with you forever.
Your lifetime supporters, Mami and Papi
To our favorite #21, You chose Ramapo College as a place to make your mark, and you certainly have. We are impressed with all you have accomplished. Your OL work, graphic design internship, and honors project have amazed us! You became a founding ambassador for Morgan’s Message, and pushed out of your comfort zone by studying abroad in Italy. You continue to strive to be better and improve the world around you—all with a smile on your face. You should feel proud; we know we are proud of you!
On top of all that, there is SOFTBALL! You had a truly amazing softball career. It has been a delight watching you triumph. You persevered through a tough injury and constantly inspired others, leading by example with your hard work. You set the bar high for yourself and everyone around you. Congrats on all your successes!!! You’ve been lucky to have such great teammates, and we have loved being fans of this program. Go, Roadrunners!
We love you immensely, are blown away by your accomplishments, and cannot wait to cheer for you during your next chapter. The best is yet to come!
