2nd Annual Clay Shoot at The Vincent Homestead

For the second year in a row, Ralph Wilson Youth Club partnered with The Vincent Homestead to host a clay shoot fundraiser to benefit the youth club. 76 shooters participated in this year’s event. Marksmen were challenged with ten stations that were spread across the 150 acre property. After a break for dinner, shooters re-assembled and accepted the challenge of testing their shooting skills in the dark via the glow in the dark shoot. The event experienced positive growth in participation from year one. Shooters can expect to continue to see a challenging course in coming years as The Vincent Homestead provides the opportunity for an everchanging course from year to year

Last Night Gala Dazzles Once Again

In what has become a tradition, long time and new supporters of the youth club gathered on New Year’s Eve under the roof of the McLane Aviation Hangar for an evening of fine dining, dancing, and fellowship. Year eleven of the event did not disappoint. Blind Date dazzled with yet another amazing live band performance. The evening concluded with a room full of youth club supporters bringing in the New Year to an amazing fireworks display.

CMB Celebrates 30 Years

The Craig Bukosky Junior Golf tournament celebrated year 30 in 2026. Eighty-seven golfers assembled at Wildflower Country Club to compete across ten divisions of play divided by male and female.

The 30 edition of the longstanding event was truly special. The 87 players participating in this year's event represented a 22 player increase over last year’s event. To celebrate thirty years of impacting youth golf, the Bukosky family did commemorative coins and bag tags for this year’s event. Golfers and family members were treated to the traditional players luncheon at the conclusion of their round of golf.

Thirty years is a testament to the Bukosky family’s unwavering commitment to honoring the legacy of their late son Craig Bukosky and ensuring junior golf thrives in the greater Central Texas community.

Johnson Brothers Ford Lincoln donates F-150

For the second time in seven years, Johnson Brothers Ford has shown its unwavering support for the youth club by donating another F-150 pick up truck to the youth club. The donation of pick up trucks greatly supports the club’s mission in providing service to the Greater Temple community. By not incurring costs associated with fleet, the youth club is able to continue to offer programming at an affordable price for our youth.

As a small expression of the youth club’s appreciation for the ongoing support from the dealership, the RWYC Cook Team cooked and served fajitas to all the employees at the dealership. As a community, we all have our unique ways of saying thank you for believing in our respective missions.

Spring Break

Spring break is a time that comes every year with the hopes and dreams of elaborate vacations / getaways. However, the reality is that most of our families will be working and can’t take vacations during this annual break from school. That is why the spring break program at the youth club continues to be important to our families. The spring break program provides a full day of on site programming for our youth over the duration of the break. In addition, the club offered affordable day trips to a variety of locations as a part of the program. Never underestimate the importance of affordable local opportunities for our youth. 246 youth embarked on 5 field trips during the week of Spring Break.

2026 Basketball Season Wraps Up

The 2026 Youth Basketball program at Ralph Wilson Youth Club experienced another amazing year The program continued to experience record growth amongst participants. The 2026 season featured 1,361 male and females ages 5 to 12 competing for the rights to claim they are the CHAMPIONS of the RWYC Youth Basketball League. After 652 games, 5,000+ volunteer hours and over 45 days of practice, four teams were declared champion of their respective division of play. The prize was individual trophies, t-shirts and their team photo placed on the wall to join all the previous year’s champions.

This year, 226 coaches dedicated their time and energy to ensuring our youth had a positive experience competing in our program. 144 sponsors supported the program to ensure the tradition of having a sponsor for each team was met. When the dust from the journey settled, 2026 championships were claimed by Temple Heat & Air (10U Girls), Pinnacle View Roofing (12U Girls), Optimal Concierge Medicine (10U Boys) and S&P Dumpsters (12U Boys)

Craig Bukosky Sportsmanship Award Winners

Each year, Ralph Wilson Youth Club selects two participants from the youth basketball program to be recipients of the Craig Bukosky Sportsmanship Award. Although the winners are traditionally highly regarded athletes in the program, the award is based on the winners demonstrating the highest level of sportsmanship and teamwork. This year’s winners are Peyton Knox and Zach Brischke.

New Board Member & 2026 Board Officers

The Ralph Wilson Youth Club Board of Directors recently voted to appoint Kelly Garcia to the Board of Directors. Mrs. Garcia is the owner of Garcia Architects and attended the youth club as a kid. Her two children also attended Ralph Wilson Youth Club. The Board of Directors is excited about her addition to the team as she will provide valuable expertise in facility design and future planning. Mrs. Garcia’s service to the Greater Temple community dates back several years and she has now committed herself to serving youth via the youth club.

Burgers for the Bees

The RWYC Cook Team did ‘Burgers for the Bees’ to show our appreciation for all the staff of Academy I.S.D. The youth club has a very strong relationship with Academy I.S.D. that benefits both students of the district and members of the youth club.

At the core of the existence of Ralph Wilson Youth Club is providing programs rich in quality and affordable to the youth of the Greater Temple Community. The ability to successfully accomplish this task is directly connected to community support. Community support comes in a variety of ways. At the heart of support for the youth club is the Club Champions program.

The Club Champions program is the source of $100,000 per year in contributions to the youth club. This represents a significant portion of the $480,000 annually that is donated to support affordable programs for area youth. As the youth club approaches its ten-year anniversary this year, the Club Champions program will play a huge role in the ability of the youth club to address issues related to the growth and aging of the facility.

The tradition of Ralph Wilson Youth Club spans 60 years. Countless youth have benefitted from the experiences of Ralph Wilson Youth Club. Help us keep the tradition alive and well by renewing your commitment to being a Club Champion.
