Nothing is cooler than a good scoop of local ice cream and in this issue, we helped compile a list of all the great places to find this frozen treat across Wake County. Discover some of the best scoops, sorbets, custards, cones, cookie cakes, milkshakes, and crazy sweet concoctions the likes you've probably never seen! This year's World of Bluegrass 2020 Festival will be held virtually due to COVID-19. Music-writing legend David Menconi sums up all you'll find at this year's event. We had the pleasure of meeting Chef Kevin Ruiz at a restaurant profile here in Glenwood South. The restaurant unfortunately closed, but we felt compelled to write about his culinary skills anyway. And right before our print date, we learned he had just signed on to be the Executive Chef at one of our favorite restaurants, The Rockford. We're looking forward to seeing his new dishes!
