After a long four-year wait, InnoTrans is at last taking place again in Berlin later this month and it's set to be huge with new offerings such as the Mobility+ section, incorporating future transport solutions such as mobility apps, robotics, micromobility and VTOL technology, alongside the show's established rail and bus offerings.
After Alstom first displayed its Coradia iLint hydrogen fuel cell train at InnoTrans 2016, all the major rolling stock manufacturers have now followed suit, offering a hydrogen train in their portfolio. This year both Siemens and Stadler will exhibit their hydrogen trains at the show.
It makes sense then that the panel discussion at the opening ceremony brings these two trends together – future transport and sustainable mobility – with the headline topic being 'The Future of Mobility in Times of Climate Change'.
