In a little village, in the countryside, there’s Mary’s food shop. It’s a simple but special place.

There are two big windows and a small door. One window is square and one window is round.

This is Mary. She’s a fantastic cook. She’s tall and thin. She’s got brown hair and dark eyes.

This is Pauline, the shop assistant. She’s short and fat. She’s got blonde hair and blue eyes.

Today is Monday. Mary cooks a brown roasted chicken with yellow potatoes.
