To come and see Krsna, is always an exciting meditation for a devotee But like everything in Bhakti-yoga, there is a proscribed way to do it The proper manner in which one should take darshan of the Lord is described in Srimad Bhagavatam 2 2 13:

"The process of meditation should begin from the lotus feet of the Lord and progress to His smiling face. The meditation should be concentrated upon the lotus feet then the calves, then the thighs, and in this way higher and higher The more the mind becomes fixed on different parts of the limbs one after another, the more the intelligence becomes purified."

A NEW ARRIVAL OR TWO Narayan

Please welcome, Narayan & Nandi

We are overjoyed to welcome a new addition to the Radhadesh herd. Narayan entered our lives at 14:25.

It is so wonderful to know that every cow born at the Radhadesh Goshala will only know love and care, and will never know what happens in the general farms.

We thank Srila Prabhupada for having given us the knowledge and shown us how to love and not abuse beautiful souls brought to this world.

Since a male calf was born in our goshala, our duty as an ISKCON goshala is to engage him in work. By personal example we can demonstrate how male cows can be utilised.

The general practice is that oxen work in pairs, therefore our baby ox Nārāyana needs a partner.

CIDEV C E REMONIES

We perform Vedic Samskaras or purificatory ceremonies at the ISKCON Radhadesh temple. Our priests are highly qualified and trained in performing Vedic rites. They have deep understanding of Vedic literatures and Vaisnava philosophy, hence are able to explain every rite and ritual with proper context.

The Vedic literatures describe that there are many opportunities during one’s life – from before birth to after death – when one may perform a ceremony for purification to evoke auspiciousness and ensure advancement in spiritual life.

RVasuttama prabhu, a Prabhupada disciple from Benelux, is a professional painter and restorer, and he has already started on the entrance hall and staircase to the second floor.

It will be a metamorphosis that will give additional splendor to the castle! After the entrance hall and staircase, we also want to paint the Temple Room and the two adjacent rooms, the Blue Room and the Lila Room. We need extra hands for all this major work! if you have some free time in the near future and a liking for painting & renovation, please get in touch via email address service@radhadesh.com.
