Fire-Tested and Future-Proof

The landscape of UK construction has changed dramatically in recent years. There has been a decisive shift toward safer, more resilient construction systems. As regulatory bodies demand higher levels of safety, the role of fire testing has never been more crucial. Independent third-party tests and certifications from UKAS accredited centres ensure that systems specified – are fit for purpose.

Engineered for maximum fire protection, our light steel systems give education providers peace of mind. We have successfully conducted over 50 fire tests to date and are continuously expanding our data to cover a broader range of products and configurations.

Frameclad’s systems undergo extensive fire performance testing in accordance with BS EN 1365, BS EN 1364 and BS 476, which assess the loadbearing and non-loadbearing performance of construction elements when exposed to fire. Our light steel frame systems have achieved up to 120-minutes fire resistance, a key requirement for many education buildings and critical in compartmentation strategies.

Protecting People and Our Environment

Our steel has always been produced with a strong focus on sustainability, containing around 60% recycled content. After significant time and research, we are proud to give education contractors an even more sustainable option to choose from.

Taking it up another level and remaining competitive has taken time but we are extremely proud that our first full ECO-LSF loadbearing scheme is underway. Produced from 100% recycled content, using Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology powered by renewable sources – this milestone marks an exciting step in Frameclad’s commitment to low-carbon construction.
