Lord Have Mercy Week of Service June 25th-29th This week is designed to be a week of well formed service opportunities for 7th and 8th graders. We
will meet Monday through Friday from 9:00am until 3:00pm. Days will include, but not be limited to: working at Feed My Starving Children, doing yard work for elderly parishioners, landscaping around the block at St. Benedict Parish, helping at a Food Pantry and helping our Sharing Parish. During the course of the week we will have performed approximately 25 hours of service. (These hours can be applied to the Confirmation service expectation.) The cost of participating in this week is $50.00 per person. NOTRE DAME VISION July 9th -13th Join other High School aged students from St. Benedict Parish Youth Ministry as we travel to
Notre Dame Vision to participate in a week long conference focused on : How we can better live our Faith in the World. “We use the best resources of the University to serve the Church,” says N.D. Vision director Megan Shepherd, of this unique program whose official purpose is simply “to help young people recognize God’s call in their lives and respond to that call with courage and faith.” An attendee of Vision stated, “Going to Vision was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.” “Even though I was unsure about going because I didn’t know anyone else there, I’m so glad I did! And not knowing anyone else ended up not mattering at all – I met so many new people from all over that were incredibly nice and loving people. It was fun experience, but even more important, it was an unbelievably powerful spiritual experience. I learned a lot about God and other people, but I learned the most about myself and who I am in relation to those things.”

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL MENTOR Do you want to learn more about what we believe as Catholics? Do you want to help mentor smaller kids of our parish? Do you want to have Fun while leading kids in learning about their faith? This is for You!
July 15-19-We’ll meet In the evenings
from 6:30-8:30pm Sunday thru Thursday to plan our week with the kids. July 23-27 -The Parish will host VBS and you will be the leaders. The hours spent preparing and mentoring at VBS are applicable to Confirmation Service Hours. All 7th12th grade are welcome and encouraged to share their talents and participate Attend the evening sessions with other teens from St. Benedict as we share, ask questions and grow in our faith Lead the kids in songs, skits, science projects and fun as they grow in faith.
