Grooming & Accessories Grooming
• Hairstyles should be kept clean and well groomed. Boys’ hair should not extend lower than their shirt collar. Unusual hair dyes or styles will not be permitted. • No unusual hair shaving or etching allowed – if you are going to shave part of your student’s head, shave all of it at equal length. • Boys/girls’ hair cuts should be kept neat – hair needs to be kept out of student’s eyes. • No facial makeup of any kind will be allowed. • Nail polish should be clear or neutral color. • No writing on or cutting/tearing of clothing or shoes will be permitted. • No body drawings or tattoos. • Uniforms must be sized appropriately for school, not too large or too small. • Underwear of any kind should not be visible.
Accessories
• Non-SBPS sweatshirts or coats are not to be worn during class time • Only plain white short sleeved shirts may be worn under uniform and gym shirts. Under shirt is not to be visibly longer than the uniform shirt. • Only simple jewelry allowed – one small necklace, set of short earrings (for girls), one bracelet or ring allowed. • Hair accessories need to be kept simple. Students will be asked to remove very large, bold, or distracting hair accessories. • No hats or sunglasses are allowed in the building. • Shoe laces must be one color and appropriately match their shoes. • Shoe laces or other fasteners must be tied/fastened. • No ‘wheelie’ shoes, no shoes with divided toes, no shoes with characters, no shoes with lights

Uniform Violations • Long sleeved white t-shirt cannot be worn under short sleeved polo shirt or gym t-shirts • Dress shirts are to be tucked in at all times, with only the top button undone. • SBPS fleece jacket and sweatshirt is only allowed on PE days. • Belts must be plain or braided, no embellishments, grommets, decoration, etc. • Black dress shoes should not be athletic style or have heels. • Athletic shoes must be predominately white, not gray or silver. • No Converse low or high tops or cartoon or light up shoes. No athletic shoes with divided toes. • Shorts should be of modest length and skorts are not allowed. • Shorts should be of modest length and skorts are not allowed.
