Fine Art Advisory & Curatorial Services JW Marriott San Antonio Scope of Work: Rachel Brown Fine Art Services (RBFAS) will provide fine art advisory and curatorial expertise for the curation, selection, placement, and overall presentation of artwork throughout the JW Marriott San Antonio. RBFAS will develop an art proposal of considered works for designated locations throughout the property, taking into account the architectural character, design aesthetic, scale, budget, and overall vision for the project. Rachel will collaborate closely with the client and design team to refine the proposed selections and bring the project’s artistic vision to life. Once artworks are approved, Rachel will serve as the primary liaison with artists, galleries, dealers, studios, and other representatives, managing correspondence and coordinating matters related to acquisitions and commissions, including pricing, availability, specifications, contracts, and other pertinent details. Rachel will also facilitate the logistics associated with approved artworks, including coordination of fabrication, framing, crating, shipping, delivery, and installation as appropriate. Throughout the process, she will provide ongoing art advisory and project oversight to ensure that each work is thoughtfully selected, properly executed, and seamlessly integrated into the property. The resulting art program will be curated to reflect the JW Marriott San Antonio’s distinctive architectural and design language while celebrating the cultural character and sense of place of San Antonio. Estimated Art Costs (including acquisitions, framing, and all associated expenses): For 10 - 12 prospective art spaces, I am estimating $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 Art Advisory & Curatorial Fee: 30% of the total net artwork acquisition and commission costs. Total Estimated Cost: $160,000.00 - $225,000.00
