Welcome to the seventh running of The Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes race day, the most valuable day’s racing at Naas. Ballyhane Stud is once again delighted to sponsor today’s headline race.

Since its inception in 2020, this race has given over €2 million in prize money to winning and placed horses. Another feature of the race is that the first ten horses home today will all share in the prize fund. Prize money remains the lifeblood of Irish racing, and we are proud to play our part in boosting it for the benefit of the entire industry.

A big thank you to the owners and trainers of the juveniles who continue to support the Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes, as well as the board and staff at Naas Racecourse, who provide such a welcoming stage for everyone to experience the thrill of racing. On behalf of everyone at Naas Racecourse, I am delighted to welcome you to our August Bank Holiday Monday fixture, headlined by the €200,000 Irish EBF Ballyhane Stakes. Our feature race has firmly established itself as one of the highlights of the Irish flat racing calendar. By the end of today’s renewal, over €2,000,000 in total prize money will have been awarded through the race, underlining its importance to owners, trainers and breeders alike.

This race would not be possible without the continued commitment of Ballyhane Stud and the Irish EBF. We extend our sincere thanks to Joe Foley and everyone at Ballyhane Stud, together with Nessa Joyce and the team at the Irish EBF, for their outstanding support. Ballyhane Stud, located just outside Leighlinbridge in Co. Carlow covers all aspects of the industry including a roster of stallions, top class boarding and foaling facilities, sales preparation as well as all-weather gallops for pre-training and training.

Today’s feature race also brings with it our popular Ballyhane Stud and Irish EBF Sweepstake, giving racegoers the chance to win some fantastic prizes. Be sure to enter using the QR codes found throughout the racecourse and in your racecard before the draw takes place after the third race. The lucky winner will receive tickets and an overnight hotel stay for Ireland v South Africa in the inaugural Nations Cup this November.

Hurling For Cancer takes place on August 24th at Netwatch Cullen Park, marking its 15th year in raising vital funds for cancer research. Since 2011, Hurling For Cancer has raised almost €1.7m and with the aim of hitting the €2m mark in sight, the 2026 renewal looks set to be one of the biggest renewals yet. We are happy to support Hurling For Cancer today and more information can be found on www.hurlingforcancer.ie.

Away from the track, there is plenty happening around the racecourse today. We are delighted to welcome the ITBA South Leinster Region Breeding & Racing Awards and extend our congratulations to all of this year’s winning breeders. We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful day with us.

Also located beside the playground is our popular Meet the Racehorse Experience. We are delighted to welcome Raz de Maree back to Naas alongside his handler, Jenny Murphy. Throughout the afternoon, racegoers can meet this retired racehorse, hear about his life after racing and learn more about the exceptional care thoroughbreds receive once their racing careers have finished. It is a fantastic opportunity for visitors of all ages to get up close to one of these magnificent animals. We will also have the RACE simulator located next to the parade ring where racegoers can see what its like to “ride a racehorse” while we will have face painter and kids activities in the marquee.

If you’re looking to enjoy some food during your visit, Lily & Wild have a range of excellent options available across the racecourse. From dining in the Panoramic Restaurant, to our popular BBQ next to the parade ring, or the convenient grab-and-go menu available in The Post Restaurant, there is something to suit everyone.

We do not have an ATM on-site; however, we can provide cash back in our Raceday office. The Raceday office is located beside the turnstiles.

Bar Facilities

The Circle Bar is located on the ground floor of The Circle Building. The TOTE Bar is located on the ground floor of the Grandstand Building.

Betting

Bookmakers Ring is situated at the front of the Grandstand. Tote and Paddy Power shops are loacted in the Grandstand. Tote Operators are also located in The Post, The Circle, and The Panoramic Restaurant.

Car Park

For opening hours following the day of racing please check at the Raceday office.

Corporate Suites

Located on the Second Floor of the Grandstand Building.

Disabled Facilities

Toilet Facilities are situated on the ground floor of The Grandstand next to lower exit doors, by the men’s toilets, The Circle, and The Post. Parking is available directly outside the turnstiles. Our Parking attendants will be glad to assist you.

Goffs Owners & Trainers Lounge

The Goffs Owners & Trainers lounge is reserved for Owners & Trainers who have a runner on the day. The Lounge is located on the first floor of The Circle Building.

A self-service restaurant open to all racegoers. We have a full carvery and a selection of cold dishes are available each Raceday.

The Café

Located on the ground floor of the Granstand. A selection of sandwiches, pastries, and tea/coffee is available on each Raceday.

USE OF CAMERAS & VIDEO EQUIPMENT

1. Use of Camera, Video, Computer and Telecommunications Equipment Non-compliance with the following provisions will constitute a serious breach of Naas Racecourse’s Terms & Conditions of Entry, as a result of which we shall have the right to cancel and withdraw any Ticket or other entitlements issued to you and eject you from the Racecourse. Use of cameras, video equipment, laptop and other computer equipment, mobile telephones and other telecommunications devices at the Racecourse is strictly controlled and limited. You are not permitted to make any commercial use of any audio/visual coverage, still images or data relating to racing at the Racecourse, without prior permission.

1.1 You shall not use any device or technology to capture, record, store, transmit or broadcast any data relating to any race, fixture or other race-related activity at the Racecourse, unless you are expressly permitted to do so by Condition 1.4.

1.2 In particular, you must not capture, record, store transmit (including live stream):

(a) any pictures of horses preparing for a race – including the Parade Ring;

(b) any pictures of jockeys preparing for a race – including Weighing Room and Parade Ring;

(c) any race (either at the Racecourse or any other racecourse) –this includes either “live” or pictures from the on-course CCTV;

(d) any data relating to any race (either at the Racecourse or any other racecourse) – e.g. odds, Going, colours and colour changes, jockey changes, results; or

(e) any activities in integrity areas (i.e. areas with limited access to Turf Club and designated staff at the Racecourse) – including Weighing Room, Judges Box, Stables and any area signed ‘officials only’.

1.3 The list in Condition 1.2 is indicative of the types of activity prohibited by Condition 1.1 but that list is not exhaustive.

1.4 You may use mobile devices and point-and-shoot or compact cameras to capture images for your own private and domestic use (but you shall not use professional level photography or filming equipment). The following rules apply:

(a) photography on the racing surface is strictly forbidden; (b) flash photography is strictly forbidden; and

(c) you must not allow a third party to use such images for any commercial purpose and will notify the Operator immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of those images.

1.5 You agree that all copyright and other intellectual property rights in any unauthorised still, audio, visual, audio-visual coverage or other data shall be assigned to us on creation.
