On behalf of the Galway Race Committee and the team at Galway Racecourse, I am thrilled to welcome you to our iconic seven-day Summer Festival. It is always a pleasure to greet supporters from every county in Ireland and from all corners of the world. Your continued support means so much to us – thank you.

This year, we are proud to welcome back our valued partners and sponsors. Their generous support plays a vital role in making the Galway Races the world-renowned event it is today. We are delighted to offer an increased prize fund of over €2.19 million across the week, featuring 54 thrilling races, with every race carrying a minimum prize fund of €17,000 and all feature races worth at least €110,000.

Today marks the final day of the Summer Festival, and we have eight exhilarating races on the card, including our feature contest, the €110,000 Irish Stallion Farms EBF “Ahonoora” Handicap. We are also pleased to be running a sweepstake on the Ahonoora Handicap, with one lucky winner set to take home €1,000 as part of our Grab a Grand initiative. Slight preference, however, is for WAHRAAN following a narrow defeat to a stablemate of Teed Up in a flat handicap on Wednesday.
