Suddenly, I could see it before me. When I thought of it, it gave me this warm feeling inside and I couldn’t stop thinking about the idea... I was going to make a tap that produces boiling water!

Our story

The Quooker tap became well-known as a boiling-water tap. Nowadays, a Quooker can do much more than that. Such as producing hot, cold and boiling water from the same tap. And, since the invention of the CUBE, chilled and sparkling water, too. That’s why we call it ’the tap that does it all’.

At Quooker, we work with hundreds of people every day, on that one product: our tap that does it all. We are proud of the revolution we’re bringing to the kitchen, and of the way we do it: smart, responsible, sustainable and social.

A brilliant idea

The Quooker is the world’s very first boiling-water tap. It was invented by the Dutch physicist Henri Peteri who in 1970 had a revolutionary inspiration: surely it must be possible to get instant boiling water from the kitchen tap? He quit his job to start work building a prototype in the cellar of his home in Rotterdam. Later on, his two sons, Niels and Walter Peteri, continued his mission. They built up an innovative and sustainable business and made Quooker an indispensable part of the kitchen. First in the Netherlands, and soon elsewhere, too.

We make products to save energy and water every day. Our products are long-lasting and easy to repair. But our sustainable approach goes further than that. It’s in everything we do. Our headquarters

All Quooker taps are made at our sustainable company premises in Ridderkerk, close to where the Quooker was invented. Factory halls, storage, offices, service and showroom are all housed under one roof. Additionally, Quooker now also has locations in sixteen countries.

International success

Quooker is taking over the world, step by step, country by country. Wherever we launch it, the tap that does it all is a big hit. This international success means we are undergoing huge growth. At the same time, we remain a family business where we work towards our mission as a close-knit team. Every day.

Did you know the Quooker tap is the world’s very first boiling-water tap. It was invented in 1970 by the Dutch physicist Henri Peteri. For more than twenty years he worked in the basement of his house to develop the original boiling-water tap.

Boiling water from a Quooker is exactly 100 °C as it comes out of the tap.

How a Quooker works

Push-push-turn. That’s the procedure to get boiling water from a Quooker. The light ring glows red. But what’s going on underneath the work surface? And what does a Quooker CUBE add?

Each Quooker system is made up of a tap on the work surface and a tank in the kitchen cupboard underneath.

In the tank, water is stored at a temperature of 108 °C. Because the tank is highly vacuum insulated, it only takes 10 W of energy to keep the water at that temperature. That’s the same amount of power that two LEDs use. The moment boiling water is drawn from the tap, fresh water from the water pipe flows into the tank. This water is immediately brought up to temperature.

Instant boiling and hot water

In addition to 100 °C boiling water, a Quooker with COMBI+ tank can also provide instant hot water. The system does this by mixing cold water from the water pipe into the boiling water from the Quooker. This prevents any unnecessary water waste.

Filtered chilled water

With the CUBE, you can now also dispense sparkling and chilled water from the Quooker tap. It can be installed at the bottom of the kitchen cabinet next to the Quooker tank. The CUBE has a two stage filter that consists of a hollow fibre and active carbon filter. It filters microbiologically and also removes chlorine and impurities from the water. The CUBE is attached to a CO₂ cylinder that gives you 60 litres of sparkling water from your Quooker tap.

A Quooker is amazingly convenient, no matter the time of day. From your boiled egg in the morning to your cup of tea before bed. But it offers many other advantages as well. Did you know, for instance, that a Quooker is an extremely safe and sustainable upgrade for your kitchen?

Better-tasting water

The taste and aroma of the boiling water are improved thanks to the HiTAC® filter in the tank, which stores water at a temperature of 108 °C, ensuring it’s effectively ’heated through’. Chilled and sparkling water can be filtered using the CUBE filter, which consists of an activated charcoal filter and a hollow-fibre filter.

Safe solution

A Quooker is the safest way to prepare boiling water. Quooker taps have a childsafe mechanism and the taps itself boasts double-walled insulation. The light ring on the mechanism also glows red when boiling water is being dispensed.

More convenience

Brew a pot of tea. Boil pasta. Blanch vegetables. Or clean that greasy casserole dish. Boiling water straight from the tap comes in handy many times each day. With the Quooker CUBE, you can also dispense chilled and sparkling water in seconds, from the very same tap.

Conserve water

With the Quooker, you never use more water than you need. And a COMBI+ enables you to conserve even more: because its tank immediately dispenses hot water, too, you need never waste a drop. A PRO3 saves 500 litres per year on average, while a COMBI+ allows you to conserve an impressive 4200 litres of water per year.

Dispense boiling water with no wait. With a Quooker in your kitchen, you’ll save valuable time each and every day. And if you opt for the CUBE, you’ll never have to go to the shop for bottled still or sparkling water again!.

Less plastic waste

When you can get chilled and sparkling water straight from the tap, like with the CUBE, you never have to buy water in plastic bottles again. Not even when you’re on the go. Simply fill a reusable bottle before you leave the house.

Free up space

A Quooker frees up valuable space in the kitchen. Electric kettles are now a thing of the past. The boiling water tank and the CUBE are extremely compact and can easily be combined with other elements in your kitchen cupboard, like a waste-sorting system.

Conserve energy

AQuooker tanks feature highvacuum insulation. It takes very little energy (10W) to keep the water stored in the tank above the boiling point. The COMBI+ tanks are the most energyefficient solution for dispensing hot water in the kitchen.

Quooker has several taps in the collection, which are available in different finishes. The ideal tap for your kitchen is one you put together yourself. With or without a flexible pull out hose. Square or rounded. Classic or bang on trend. There is also the crucial question: do you only want 100 °C boiling or cold and hot water, or do you also want chilled and sparkling?

All Quooker taps are designed with a control ring to easily switch to 100°C boiling, cold, chilled and sparkling water.

Flex Round and Square

All-in-one tap with flexible pull-out hose

The Flex is the only Quooker tap with a flexible pull out hose. The pull out hose is incredibly convenient. For example, when washing vegetables or cleaning your sink. The boiling water stopper means the Flex cannot produce any boiling waterwhen the hose is pulled out.

In addition to 100 °C boiling or cold and hot water, the Flex can also produce chilled and sparkling water when you combine it with the Quooker CUBE. The design of the Flex is sleek and timeless, allowing it to feel at home in any setting. The model is available in five different finishes.

Did you know that the water flow from a Quooker is not solid? It is made up of tiny droplets. The moment you accidentally put your hand under it, you will have removed it again before it is able to really burn.

Front

An all-in-one tap with ergonomic controls

The Front is an eye-catcher in any kitchen. Its flawless design is clean and minimalistic. The Front produces 100 °C boiling orcold and hot water. But it also provides chilled and sparkling water when combined with the CUBE. Unlike the other Quooker taps, the lever for hot and cold water is on the front of the Front. Also, the CUBE operates slightly differently with this model: you turn the textured ring one or two clicks and it produces chilled or sparkling water. To get boiling water, you operate the tap in the same way as the other taps. The Front is available in stainless steel, black, gunmetal and rose copper.

Which tank suits you?

A Quooker system is made up of a tap on the work surface and a tank in the cupboard underneath. There are three different tanks. Do you also want chilled and sparkling water? If so, combine your Quooker with a CUBE

Do you have a hot water supply?

Do you always have to wait a long time for hot water? Is the distance between your central-heating boiler and your kitchen tap more than 6 metres?

Do you also want chilled and sparkling water? If so, add the CUBE alongside your chosen tank.

PRO3

Delivers 3 litres of boiling water. It is a compact tank, suitable for kitchens with no kitchen boiler in the cupboard and for which you don’t have to wait long for hot water.

COMBI+

Provides 7 litres of instant boiling water or unlimited hot water. The COMBI+ is connected to both the cold and hot water pipes. It eliminates the long wait for hot water and the waste of drinking water. Thanks to the connection to the hot water pipe, you have unlimited hot water.

Maintenance

Regularly replacing the filter cartridges will ensure optimal water quality and system performance. When the filter needs replacing you will hear a beeping sound. All cartridges can be ordered through our Quooker webshop or service team. You can easily change it yourself of request for a service.

Do you also want to be able to dispense chilled and sparkling water from your Quooker? If so, connect a CUBE to your Quooker system.

The CUBE is a chilled water tank that is installed in the kitchen cupboard next to your boiling water tank. It comes with a filter that removes pesticides, bacteria and impurities from the water. The CUBE provides chilled and sparkling water, meaning you no longer need to buy water in plastic bottles. To dispense sparkling water, a Quooker CO₂ cylinder must be connected to the CUBE. New cylinders can be ordered in the webshop.

Does it fit in your kitchen cabinet?

A Quooker can be installed in both a new and an existing kitchen. You need a kitchen cabinet with a water and electricity supply.

In a new kitchen, your kitchen supplier will usually arrange the installation for you. But do you want to replace your current tap in your existing kitchen with a Quooker? Then it is a matter of placing your new Quooker tap in the tap hole of the old tap. A service engineer can do that, but you can also do it yourself.

The Quooker tank and the CUBE are placed in the cupboard under the sink. There are waste systems available that can be combined with a Quooker in the cabinet so that you can make optimal use of the space. If you do not want to place the Quooker system directly under the sink, extension sets are available so that you can place the tank in the cabinet next to it. A filter that provides clean and refreshing cold water straight from your Quooker tap. It improves the taste and quality of the cold water by removing impurities such as chlorine, sediment, and other contaminants.

Nordic soap dispenser

A refillable soap dispenser that perfectly matches your Quooker both in design and finish, providing tranquility on the work surface. No more plastic soap bottles, and always soap available. Available in seven finishes which perfectly match your Quooker tap.

Tap base ring

What if the hole in your work surface is too big for your Quooker? Then a tap base ring is the solution. Available in seven Quooker finishes.

Mounting bracket

Sometimes it makes more sense to mount the tank on the wall, rather than placing it at the bottom. For example, if your kitchen cupboard has drawers.

Extension kit

If you wish to place your tank further than 50 cm away from the tap, you need an extension kit. It is available in various lengths. It is easy to connect it yourself.

CUBE extension kit

If you wish to place the boiling water tank and the CUBE a bit further apart, an extension kit can make this work. It is available in two lengths.

Powerswitch

What if there are multiple appliances connected to a single socketconnected to the same electrical circuit? Then a powerswitch will prevent overloading the electrical circuit.

Drip tray

The drip tray is used when you wish to position the Quooker tap away from a sink. It comes complete with a drain hose so any excess water can be drained away. Only available in Polished Chrome.
