Introduction
Systems Engineering is an interdisciplinary field focused on the design, integration, and management of complex systems throughout their life cycles. This course covers fundamental principles, methodologies, and tools used to define customer needs, develop requirements, and create system architecture while addressing technical, organizational, and operational factors. Emphasis is placed on life cycle thinking, systems modeling, risk analysis, trade-off studies, verification and validation, and project management. Students will gain practical skills in applying systems engineering processes to real-world projects, enabling them to effectively collaborate across disciplines to deliver robust, efficient, and sustainable solutions to complex engineering challenges.
