Survey of Exceptionalities provides students with an overview of the diverse range of exceptionalities encountered in educational settings, including learning disabilities, intellectual and developmental disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, physical and health impairments, sensory impairments, and giftedness. The course explores the characteristics, identification, and educational needs of individuals with exceptionalities, as well as the legal and ethical considerations surrounding special education. Emphasis is placed on understanding inclusive practices, differentiation of instruction, and the collaboration required among educators, families, and related professionals to support the success of all learners in school and community environments.
