Through historical case studies, contemporary examples, and theoretical perspectives, students will analyze the ways in which science and technology impact daily life, influence public policy, raise ethical questions, and contribute to social change. The course encourages critical thinking about the benefits, risks, and unintended consequences of innovations while fostering an understanding of the role that diverse social actors play in the development and regulation of scientific and technological knowledge.
