Respiratory Care is a comprehensive course that explores the principles and practices involved in the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory disorders. Students will gain foundational knowledge of human respiratory anatomy and physiology, develop competency in the use and calibration of respiratory equipment, and learn to administer various therapeutic modalities such as oxygen therapy, aerosol medication delivery, airway management, and mechanical ventilation. Emphasis is placed on clinical decision-making, patient assessment, and evidence-based interventions to improve respiratory function across diverse populations and healthcare settings. Through lectures, simulations, and hands-on experience, students are prepared to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in both acute and chronic care environments.
