Through a combination of theory and practice, students learn the principles of speech organization, audience analysis, vocal delivery, and nonverbal communication. The course includes opportunities to research topics, construct logical arguments, and deliver both prepared and impromptu speeches in a supportive environment. Emphasis is placed on managing public speaking anxiety, adapting messages for different contexts, and providing constructive feedback to peers.
