Course Introduction
Psychology of Aging examines the biological, psychological, and social aspects of aging, focusing on how people change and adapt throughout later life. The course explores cognitive, emotional, and personality development in older adulthood, along with common age-related challenges such as memory decline, mental health issues, and changing social roles. Students will analyze theories of aging, factors that contribute to successful aging, and interventions that support well-being in later years. The course also addresses societal views on aging and implications for policy, caregiving, and lifelong learning.
