Prosthodontics is a specialized field of dentistry focused on the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and maintenance of oral function, comfort, appearance, and health in patients with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues. This course covers the principles and techniques involved in designing, fabricating, and fitting artificial replacements such as crowns, bridges, dentures, and dental implants. Emphasis is placed on understanding the biological, mechanical, and aesthetic considerations that influence the choice and success of prosthodontic treatments, as well as the integration of digital technologies and interdisciplinary care.
