Course Introduction
Plant Diversity explores the vast variety of plant life, from algae and mosses to ferns, gymnosperms, and flowering plants. This course examines the evolutionary relationships, structural adaptations, reproductive strategies, and ecological roles of major plant groups. Students will gain an understanding of how plants have adapted to diverse environments, the importance of plant diversity for ecosystem function, and threats to biodiversity. The course combines lectures, laboratory work, and field studies to offer hands-on experience in plant identification and classification.
