Physiology and Pharmacology Practice Exam
Course Introduction
This course provides an in-depth exploration of human physiology and the fundamental principles of pharmacology. Students will examine the normal functioning of major organ systems, including the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and endocrine systems. The pharmacology component covers mechanisms of drug action, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and the therapeutic and adverse effects of key drug classes. Emphasis is placed on understanding how physiological processes are influenced by pharmacological agents and how this knowledge is applied in medical and clinical practice. Through lectures, case studies, and laboratory exercises, students will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to integrate physiological concepts with pharmacological interventions for the maintenance of health and treatment of disease.
