Course Introduction
Physical Anthropology is the scientific study of human biology within the framework of evolution, focusing on the biological and behavioral aspects of human beings, their related non-human primates, and their extinct ancestors. This course explores topics such as human evolution, the fossil record, genetics, primatology, human variation, and adaptation to different environments. Students will investigate how humans have evolved physically and how biological factors interact with culture over time, gaining an understanding of both the similarities and differences that exist within the human species.
