Patient Assessment in Respiratory Care Final Exam
Course Introduction
This course provides an in-depth exploration of patient assessment techniques specific to respiratory care. Students will learn to gather, interpret, and integrate data from patient histories, physical examinations, and bedside assessments to inform clinical decision-making. Emphasis is placed on identifying signs and symptoms of respiratory dysfunction, performing systematic auscultation, pulse oximetry, and arterial blood gas analysis, as well as utilizing diagnostic tools such as spirometry and imaging. Through case studies and practicum exercises, students develop the critical thinking and technical skills necessary to assess and monitor patients with diverse respiratory conditions in both acute and chronic care settings.
