Operative Dentistry focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and defects of the tooth structure, primarily caused by dental caries, trauma, or developmental anomalies. This course equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills essential for restoring the normal function, esthetics, and integrity of teeth.
Topics include cavity preparation, selection and application of restorative materials, infection control, minimally invasive techniques, and patient management protocols.
Emphasis is placed on evidence-based approaches for managing dental decay and other defects to promote long-term oral health and patient-centered care.
