Obstetric Nursing is a specialized area within nursing that focuses on providing holistic care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. This course covers essential topics such as maternal physiology, prenatal assessment, labor and delivery management, postpartum care, and newborn assessment. Students will learn about risk assessment, pain management, complications of pregnancy, and the promotion of family-centered care. Through both theoretical knowledge and practical clinical experience, students will develop the skills necessary to support mothers and families, recognize signs and symptoms of complications, and promote positive outcomes for both mothers and infants.
