Course Introduction
Methods of Social Inquiry introduces students to the foundational techniques and approaches used in studying social phenomena. The course covers both qualitative and quantitative research methods, emphasizing the formulation of research questions, data collection strategies such as surveys, interviews, and observations, ethical considerations in social research, and basic principles of data analysis. Through practical exercises and critical analysis of existing studies, students learn how to critically evaluate social research and develop the skills necessary to conduct their own investigations into a variety of social issues.
