Introduction to Radiologic Technology provides students with a foundational understanding of the principles and practices central to the field of medical imaging. The course covers essential topics including the history and evolution of radiologic technology, basic anatomy and physiology as they relate to diagnostic imaging, and the roles and responsibilities of radiologic technologists. Students will explore radiation safety, ethical and legal considerations, patient care techniques, equipment operation, and quality control procedures. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking, communication, and professional skills necessary for success in both clinical and laboratory settings. This course prepares students for further study and clinical experience in radiologic sciences.
