Course Introduction
Introduction to Psychology is a foundational course that explores the scientific study of behavior and mental processes. Students are introduced to major concepts, theories, and research findings across key domains of psychology, including biological bases of behavior, perception, learning, memory, development, motivation, emotion, personality, and social interaction. The course examines how psychologists use empirical methods to investigate questions about the mind and behavior, and provides an overview of the fields history, approaches, and practical applications. By the end of the course, students gain insights into human thought, feeling, and behavior, and develop a critical understanding of psychological science in everyday life.
