Human Anatomy and Physiology is a comprehensive study of the structure and function of the human body. This course explores the major organ systems, including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Emphasis is placed on the relationships between anatomical structures and physiological processes, as well as the mechanisms that maintain homeostasis. Students will develop a foundational understanding of how the body operates at both the cellular and systems levels, preparing them for advanced studies in health, medicine, and biological sciences.

Sample Questions
Q1) Discuss the organization of the pH scale, including the location of acids, bases, and neutral substances.
Answer: The pH scale is based on the number of hydrogen ions in solution. The pH scale is constructed from zero to 14. Each sequential change of one pH unit represents a ten-fold change in hydrogen ion concentration. Solutions with a pH lower than seven are considered acidic while solutions with a pH greater than seven are considered basic (alkaline). At a pH of seven, the solution is neutral since hydrogen ion concentration equals hydroxyl ion concentration.
Q2) Glucose and fructose are classified as disaccharides.
A)True
B)False
Answer: False
Q3) An acid is a molecule that releases (donates) ________.
A) protons (hydrogen ions)
B) hydroxyl ions
