Health Behavior explores the various psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence individual and collective choices related to health. The course examines key theories and models of health behavior change, such as the Health Belief Model, Theory of Planned Behavior, and Social Cognitive Theory, and applies them to real-world public health challenges. Students will analyze the impact of behaviors on the prevention and management of diseases, the development and evaluation of health interventions, and strategies for promoting positive behavioral changes within diverse communities. Emphasis is placed on understanding the determinants of health behaviors and the design of effective, evidence-based health promotion programs.
