Geography of Globalization examines the spatial dimensions and impacts of globalization processes across the world. The course explores how the movement of people, goods, services, information, and capital reshape places, economies, cultures, and environments. Students will analyze the patterns and networks of global interconnectedness, understand the roles of transnational corporations, international institutions, and supranational organizations, and assess the consequences of globalization on regional development, inequality, urbanization, and environmental change. Through case studies and critical discussions, the course encourages students to consider both the opportunities and challenges globalization presents to societies across diverse geographic contexts.
