Course Introduction
General Psychology introduces students to the scientific study of human behavior and mental processes. This course covers key concepts, theories, and research findings in major areas of psychology, including biological foundations, sensation and perception, learning, memory, cognition, development, motivation, emotion, personality, psychological disorders, and social behavior. Through exploring both classic experiments and current developments, students gain a foundational understanding of how psychological principles apply to everyday life and develop critical thinking skills essential for evaluating psychological information.
