Employment Law is an area of legal study that examines the rights and obligations of employers and employees within the workplace. This course covers key topics such as employment contracts, wage and hour laws, workplace discrimination, health and safety regulations, termination of employment, and collective bargaining. Students will analyze statutes, case law, and administrative regulations that shape the employment relationship and will develop an understanding of legal protections afforded to workers and the responsibilities of employers. By exploring both individual and collective aspects of the employment relationship, the course prepares students to address contemporary legal issues in the world of work.
