Dental Histology explores the microscopic structure and function of the tissues that make up the teeth and their surrounding oral environment. This course covers the development, growth, and maturation of dental tissues, including enamel, dentin, cementum, and pulp, as well as supporting structures such as the periodontal ligament, alveolar bone, and oral mucosa. Students gain insights into cellular components, tissue organization, and the biological processes underlying normal and pathological changes. Emphasis is placed on correlating histological features with clinical observations and understanding their significance in oral health and disease management.
