Course Introduction
Criminal Justice is an interdisciplinary course that examines the systems, theories, and practices involved in upholding and enforcing the law, maintaining social order, and administering justice. The course explores the roles of law enforcement agencies, courts, and corrections, as well as the sociological, psychological, and legal foundations that underpin the criminal justice system. Students will analyze contemporary issues such as crime prevention, legal rights, rehabilitation, and the impact of policy decisions, while gaining insight into ethical challenges and the relationship between society, criminal behavior, and the law.
