Course Introduction
Community Nutrition focuses on the role of nutrition in promoting health and preventing disease within populations. This course explores the assessment of nutritional status and needs in diverse communities, the development and implementation of nutrition programs and policies, and the evaluation of their effectiveness. Students will examine social, cultural, economic, and environmental factors that influence dietary behaviors, as well as strategies for addressing nutrition-related health disparities. Through case studies and practical projects, learners gain the skills needed to advocate for and design interventions that improve nutritional outcomes at the community level.
