Community and Population Health Nursing focuses on the principles and practices necessary to promote and protect the health of populations, families, and communities. Students will explore concepts such as epidemiology, health promotion, disease prevention, cultural competence, and social determinants of health. The course emphasizes assessment and intervention strategies at the community and systems level, roles and responsibilities of nurses in public health settings, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
