Course Introduction
Communication Theory explores the fundamental principles and models that explain how information is transmitted, received, and interpreted among individuals and groups. This course examines both classical and contemporary theories, including those related to interpersonal, group, organizational, intercultural, and mass communication. Students will analyze key concepts such as encoding/decoding, feedback, context, and noise, and will apply these theories to real-world communication scenarios. Through critical evaluation and case studies, learners gain a deeper understanding of how communication shapes human interaction, influences behavior, and impacts society.
