Course Introduction
Cognitive Psychology explores the mental processes underlying human behavior, including perception, memory, language, reasoning, and problem-solving. The course examines how individuals acquire, process, store, and retrieve information, integrating findings from experimental research, brain imaging, and computational modeling. Students will engage with foundational theories and contemporary developments in areas such as attention, decision-making, and cognitive development, gaining insights into both normal and atypical cognition. Through case studies and empirical investigations, the course also highlights applications of cognitive principles in education, technology, and everyday life.
