Clinical Microbiology Practice Exam
Course Introduction
Clinical Microbiology explores the principles and practices involved in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of infectious diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. The course covers the identification and characterization of clinically relevant microorganisms, laboratory techniques for specimen collection and analysis, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, mechanisms of pathogenicity, and epidemiology of infectious diseases. Emphasis is placed on the role of the clinical microbiology laboratory in patient care, infection control, and public health, as well as emerging trends in microbial resistance and diagnostic technology.
